Hmmm...! Intriguing.

Well, I do remember that before the Internet, it sure took me a much, much longer time to ferret out information I was seeking. It was much more like a mystical treasure hunt sometimes to find different streams of data (often by buying expensive books that I had to spend a lot of time finding in local stores). Now everything is so easy, I often think of the Internet as being the fabled "wish fulfilling cow' or Aladdin's lamp.

The drawback is that you have to have discernment, check facts, be somewhat careful about accepting people's opinions at face value. You still have to do the research, look at things from several angles, and generally sift the wheat from the chaff.

Okay, I realize I've meandered a few yards away from your actual question here--- sorry! But anyway, returning to the question... what would I believe without the Internet to tell me? To tell you the truth, I think I'd be a lot MORE gullible and believe more stuff that I don't believe now because the Internet has put a lot of top quality information within easy reach (for example, regarding various types of raw food dietary information), and with a little reading, research, and then a certain amount of personal trial and error, certain conclusions are reached. Without the Internet I think I'd be floundering in many areas, still searching for information and understanding, or relying on a very limited field of information.

The same, but in the old days we used to have to go to the library.

I'd believe the same things, but I wouldn't be connected to so many other raw foodists or have really current info to research. I still go to the library.

Without the Internet, my exploration of raw foods would have been much slower. Initially I was exposed to the raw gourmet version of raw, but via the net I found other people having success with other types of raw diets. And at some point, I tried these until I found one that worked for me.

i don't know
what to believe
i'm not even sure what faith means

it changes depending on where i'm at
what i choose to believe

sometimes i truly think I believe what I WANT to believe
so it doesn't matter
the internet isn't telling me anything

it is just people's paradigm
posted for the world to see
and their paradigm could be a template that they live off of

but it is usually of little concern to me

because i need to find my own paradigm
