Clouds, reaching out,
fingers in the sky.
Clouds spread around,
feathers falling down.
Clouds, squirting up,
water from a fount.

Beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen clouds extending upward quite like that.

I don't mean to be cynical, but those look like chemtrails to me.

Thanks guys, and here I thought peeps would have bagged on my bad poetry! lol

Jgunn,
Thanks, did you mean it does, or doesn't? smiling smiley

Kwan,
I took the pictures laying on the ground, looking up. Actually I took a series of photos as the cirrus clouds formed and came inland. I was using/fooling with b&w film in a old 50's fold out 35mm camera that day. I had not used that camera in years, and it had a tiny light leak in the bellows that I didn't notice, so the roll of film was ruined. sad smiley Sigh, out comes the black electrical tape to fix he bellows...While I was photographing, I took a few quick shots with a cheap little digital point & shoot camera. This is the only digital shot that had decent framing and exposure though.

Omega,
No worries, that's not being cynical, you should hear what is said about photos in juried photo shows! Chemtrails, now that would be a lot of planes in one very close area. Don't you think? No, photographing chemtrails is not my thing. They really are cirrus clouds. Look on the lower left, hidden (on purpose) by the tree, is a larger, less defined cloud. Minutes after I took my last pics, the sky was white with a thin overcast layer.

swimmer,
truly a beautiful shot of the clouds. And yes, they do look like a fountain. Also loved the poem. Would like to use this pic for my desktop, with your permission. Most of my desktop pics are of clouds. I find a lot of serenity in them.

"Bows and flows of angel hair
and ice cream castles in the air
and feather canyons everywhere.
I've looked at clouds that way."
But now they only block the sun.
They rain and snow on everyone.
So many things I could have done,
but clouds got in the way.

I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
from up and down,
and still some how
it's clouds illusions I recall.
I really don't know clouds....at all."

Ha ha. I always think of that old Judy Collin's song from my child hood. I rented her CD from the library a few weeks back to hear it again.

Nice pic and poem Jodi.

Thanks, suncloud!

Jodi, I thought that's what you meant, but wasn't sure....lol thanks!

I've always liked that Judi Collins song. I could hear it in my head, as soon as I started reading your post! She had a really pretty voice.
