Cool stuff, really unique! This guy occasionally posts on the L.F. photography forum that I hang out on. His work in really cool. I've seen this done before, but this guy is an artist!

Check it out, his flowers are great and shells are incredible!

Those are really beautiful, Swimmer! What an interesting concept. I must admit I never thought of that angle for photography before-- x-rays photography. That's really cool.

Glad you guys like it!

Kwan, when I was 6, I asked my doctor if I could take a picture with his "ray camera". The adults in the room all got a good laugh. I've thought about it ever since.

Then my first job out of college, I worked for a company that made x-ray, and radiation inspection cameras. Cool stuff, but it was all military contracts, so I never got to play.

Now, I'm happy to stick with using light sensitive film, stay away from x-rays and radioactive sources...and maintain my ability to reproduce. :~)

I'm not sure what the effects are. The flowers would require lower voltage to penetrate. So it might not toast them, but any burst of energy like that would probably damage the plant cells. They would have to be cut flowers (not live plants) to lay on the film correctly. A live plant might be able to recover, but not cut flowers.

Sorry, did you like the shells anyway?
