It must appeal to American humour - I didn't find it funny at all.

flipperjan says:

<<It must appeal to American humour - I didn't find it funny at all.>>

probably

if someone is from a different country with a different lingo and cultural set of codes etc. it is sometimes hard to "get" other people's culture etc.

or find it funny or appealing
like, for instance... if someone in England told me a joke, first of all, i may not even understand what they are saying... 2nd of all, i might not get all the little lexicon that was part of their language... then all the straining to figure out what they are trying to say... plus the fact that they have their own taste of what is humorous and i might just be the only person not laughing at all

it happens

but i LOVEDDDD this cartoon

thought it was like the best cartoon i've seen in a long time

plus i just loved the fact the character was so gung ho on going to the birthday party that she was willing to go through all that trouble pretending and convincing herself that she was not in a near delirious orthodontal ( or dental or whatever it is) narcotic coma

LOLgrinning smiley

That she fixated on a thing (pre-surgery) she could do to convince her mom that she was good to go and then had that as the only solid fact in her delirious post-operative mind was just so... so... KID! Bwah ha ha ha ha, I'm laughing again! PARP! WHY ARE YOU SO MMMEEEEAAAANNNN TO MEEEEE???? LOL LOL LOL!

Kids are darn funny. Mine are making snicker and snort a lot lately.

Little man was describing a video game to me once, he said "it's got a monkey man thingy in it, you know the one. I think it's called Honky Dong." grinning smiley
Today little girl called the movie they're watching "ChinkMunks". The inadvertant inappropriateness factor is high with small people but you gotta just laugh.

Oh, my kids have no idea what they're saying. That makes it SSOOO much funnier when they make a gaff. The Honky Dong thing had me in stitches for ages, I still laugh every time I think about it.

till this day, I STILL have not lived down amongst my family, a thing i said as a young child, I believe I was around 4-5, I asked if I could have some gummy bears, and my mom said no, that they where bad for me, and I replied with "but their good for me! gummy bears have calcium!" nobody has any idea how I got that idea into my head...lol...

Just a few days ago at work, the 3 year old little sister of the kid I work with, who has had a cute little crush on me since she was like 1 1/2-2 came up to me when I walked into the house and said "JERMYYYY! is your daddy a baker?" I said "no...why?" and she said "Cause your a Cuuuutie pie!" I dont know who taught her that one, her parents say they have no idea either, but that was just so adorable I think I almost died from a cute overdose...

Sometimes I just wanna eat little kids with a spoon--why must they outgrow the cute and become hideous adults? It's so unfair!
