Thunder & Lightening

Date: November 28, 2010 08:03PM Wow last night was mad, well mad for the UK anyway. I was woken at 5am with what i thought someone was bulldozing the house or an avalanche lol. I got back to sleep abit then 5.30 hit and BOOM, my house alarm goes off even though it wasnt set, thought the world was ending was crazy.
For those out of UK it probably seems like nothing, but ive never experienced thunder and lightening like that in my life. Was pretty mental, the hail stones were coming down at some rate just seemed to keep getting faster and faster. About 3 feet of snow here now i reckon. Even with my eyes shut i could see the lightening eventually, never experienced anything like it. Was abit scary and im never usually bothered about that sort of thing. Thought the house was going to get struck. Re: Thunder & Lightening

You may want to have your house grounding checked. If your alarm went off during an electrical storm - without being set - it may not be grounded properly. Re: Thunder & Lightening

Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life? Re: Thunder & Lightening

Glad you are OK! Crazy weather the UK's getting--my brother's father-in-law in Newcastle told us on Skype at Thanksgiving that it was already snowing and they had a foot by the next day. Not used to that, I guess. Re: Thunder & Lightening

Date: December 01, 2010 01:03PM Aye tamukha, i have a few friends in newcastle myself who are saying its similar weather to here.
I guess the lightening must have hit the house alarm as its been making a sizzling noise ever since, the engineer thinks it wont cause any fires etc. Im not too up on eletrics. Just what i need lol. Re: Thunder & Lightening

That was wonderful! Even though I've never cared for that song, I really enjoyed their rendition! Thanks for posting Re: Thunder & Lightening
