seein' stars

last night i saw the biggest brightest shooting start i've ever seen

i was walking along the road

and i saw a bright white streak in the sky

i looked up and saw a rather large white fireball with a tail and some yellow-orange color in the tail

the tail was breaking up into bits

it was glorious and lasted enough for me to nicely soak it in

and then i made a wish

a special wish

and now we shall see/d how it comes to manifest, if indeed it shall

i wonder if any other earthly inhabitants saw the star

it almost seemed like it was there just for me

i wonder how many other wishes were made upon this shooting star

i hope everybody gets their wish

unless somebody wished for something weird

like for the world to crash and burn in 2012

i hope 2012 goes smooth and groovy

and easy sneezy

gazunteight!

starry eyed surprise: [www.youtube.com]

God is a DJ and all of creation is a dance

God differentiates into infinite bits in order to create the illusion of dancing with "others"

God wants dance partners

it's kinda sad, God is all alone, being God, forever

so God slices Itself into a bazillion pieces

crooked slices

craggy slices

slices within slices

big and little slices

it's a maze

and the maze is always morphing

lost and found and fost and lound and over and over and again and again

imagine a clay ball... it represents the timeless configuration of God

now take this ball and slice it a million times, in every which way

and now slice it a million times more

a trillion times more

MOOORRREEEE!!!

now...

shift all the clay bits around

move some parts to the other side

swap some parts here

swap some parts there

and then put it back together into a nice round ball

its a different ball with a different configuration

it's all scrambled up... and down... and left right and sideways

this is the predicament

this is the maze

its like we're all this clay ball... all shifted and scrambled and discombobulated

but the secret

is that the timeless configuration of God is still there

it's hidden in the clay

it's encoded

it is timeless

it can be sensed and experienced, in little ways, and big ways, and every day

it's all around and within

God is everywhere

popping up in every way imaginable

hiding in the darkness

and shining in the light

the timeless and absolute configuration of God is Love

Love is the highest frequency vibration

Love informs the ultimate array of wisdom

and this Divine Love is infinitely interspersed throughout the entirety of the clay ball

Love is the blessing in disguise

Love is the gift of experiencing free will and conscious creation

Love is sharing and caring and daring

Love is the embrace of God's Grace

Love is all there is

Love is all

Love is

Love

that's cool

are there many stars visible where yer at Vinny?

it seems like in my city, the number of stars visible in the sky has gotten fewer and fewer over the years

i'm always amazed when i go up to the mountains and see a sky just gleaming all over with stars

jono,

My skies here are pretty good.About average.I would say you could see stars down to about 6th magnitude, with the milky way being visible on the clearer nights.
I have heard about how places like the open sea,or the desert, have skies that are peppered with stars.

In my observing,I have seen many galaxies, and some even with some spiral structure.I have a 13" reflector.
The star clusters are what blows me away.Millions of stars all concentrated in one spot.

Once I got over the fact that you couldnt see nearly the kind of images we commonly see in Hubble pics in my own telescope,it got to be very exiting when I could squeeze out just a hint of structure in the galaxies and nebulas.

Vinny

Yes they are!!
The ONLY thing about them is they do not in any way represent what you actually see thru a telescope.
Those images are long exposure, color filtered, and sharpened.Plus,no earth atmosphere to fuzzy the images.
