The Supreme Court's Decision on Fisher vs. University of Texas will level the playing field in higher education opportunity -

Here's a fabulous interview with Horace Cooper,

Project 21's Horace Cooper on Supreme Court's Fisher Ruling

"Immediately after the U.S. Supreme Court announced it’s ruling in the case of Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin, Project 21 co-chairman Horace Cooper appeared on AriseTV to discuss the effect that the Court’s decision will have on race-based college and university admissions policies. Also appearing in the segment is George Washington of the Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action."

Affirmative Action on the Way Out with Supreme Court Texas Ruling

Today's Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action at the University in Texas and a case coming before the court in the fall could provide the one-two punch to finally throw racial preferences out of the ivory tower for good.

"the practice of racial set-asides in school admissions was dealt another severe blow.

Although the ruling didn’t completely shut the door on race-conscious admissions, it has moved America inexorably toward the day that Martin Luther King called for – a day when Americans would be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.

In its decision in Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin, justices voted 7–1 that the University of Texas’s race-based admissions policy must be reviewed at the highest level judicial review – “strict scrutiny.”

It sent the case back to the lower federal court to apply that standard to UT Austin – which apparently thought the days of “race conscious” policies had an open road based on a 2003 Supreme Court ruling, which in fact was quite a narrow decision.

Going forward, public schools will have to engage in more “race-neutral” steps to achieve their goals. They will need to engage in greater recruitment activities and retention tools instead of relying on the shorthand of “targets” by race.

But the main take away from the court’s decision today in Fisher is that the days of race-based school admissions are coming to an end.

Fisher and the Schuette case could provide the one-two punch to finally throw racial preferences out of the ivory tower for good."

Because this is how far we have swung in the opposite direction -

School District Spends $2.4M on Sensitivity Training to Combat 'White Privilege' -

"Hang the cost if the money is being directed toward a worthwhile cause. And what could be more worthwhile than cultural sensitivity training that will help educators recognize the way in which public schools promote “white culture” and “white privilege” to the detriment of minority students?

That is what Portland (Ore.) Public Schools is attempting to do, according to EAGnews. For the past six year, the district has contracted with Pacific Educational Group (PEG) to conduct workshops for its teachers. PEG’s website explains that the organization’s mission “is to transform educational systems into racially conscious and socially just environments that nurture the spirit and infinite potential of all learners, especially black children and their families.” "

My husband is in the IT field and every few weeks he has to take these courses, and fill out all these questionnaires as part of "Sensitivity Training" and also he has this "Diversity" workshop and then other programs with the LGBTQ group at his place of business. All the time and money wasted on this Politically Correct Inclusion BS. Who's paying for all this?

A friend of ours who works in Administration at his college is part of the LGBTQ group there - something to do with facilitating when someone wants to come out of the closet - they have to go to him and it's a whole rig-a-morale. He joined the LGBTQ group (he's married with children) because if you're in that group, you can't get fired - they get rid of Old White Men instead.
