What do you use, if anything? Why do you like it?

I plan to get some plants but I'm talking about electric air filters.

Thanks much!

Also, if anyone has/knows any good car (cig lighter) ones, that'd be cool too!

Hi communitybuilder,

Years ago we started using the Living Air purifier - Similar to this model - [www.alpineairtechnologies.com]

We liked it, you can adjust the level of purification, and you can also notice the "rain" (ozone) aroma in the air. Since that time we expanded our living space and needed a larger model...so, we sold the one we had with intentions of purchasing a larger unit - which we never did, for some reason.

I guess it is time for us to look into getting that larger one now, since you brought it to my attention with this thread!

Says if you buy one you can get another one half-off, lots of specials I see. Where do you live? Maybe it might make sense to go in on this together if you're reordering from them. I might consider the "auto companion" too but the link on it is broken.

"ONE-TIME ONLY DISCOUNT BONUS!
Buy one air purifier; get second (same model) at 50% OFF!"

If we order together we can split it & each get 25% off (plus whoever gets them has to ship the other one to the other party).

Thought about these but says you'd have to practically fill your house with them for it to be effective so maybe not.

I don't use an air filter, and this is why: I find it easier to eliminate all synthetic off-gassing things from my environment, to not bring any others in, to water an abundance of houseplants, and to open the windows onto the tree filled yard to refresh the air in the house daily. I live in a subdivision adjacent to a watershed wetland meadow, however. If I lived in a dense city, like community builder does(I think), I'd probably buy a filter. Here's some info that may help:

I tend to agree; I believe the natural method, house plants, etc. would definantly be the best bet, for a country setting especially. However, in a home with new construction or remodeling going on, I do feel an air filter would be beneficial for a period of time.

So many synthetic materials, Formica for example contain so many toxins these days...some building materials, carpeting, etc. can off-gas for up to 10 years or more, or so I've read.

Ended up going with NeoTec's filters.
