Sounds like flowery BS to me. Ever had a job? Did you know how to do your job going into it? If you're a guru with a fat belly, sitting back on a throne of pillows, followers bestowing you with food & drink, yeah, you can just play all day like a child but most people in the real world have to work. And to work you have to acquire skills. Skills you weren't born with. Life forces you to learn & expand who you once were. Forces you to be creative & create things you never thought you could. I think the quote refers to esoteric knowledge, or self-knowledge, you know, philosophical rather than workaday stuff. In that sense it applies, right? Re: does this mean we are ALL grand and holy?

Children are not wise. They are just unafraid. Thru being unafraid they accquire wisdom faster than any adult. That & their brains are much faster. Re: does this mean we are ALL grand and holy?

Date: January 13, 2010 08:53PM I think children can be wise. Solomon was wise from birth, reputedly, in that he sort of intuited the proper responses to everything. There are different kinds of wisdom, possibly . . . Re: does this mean we are ALL grand and holy?

It certainly isn't me, and as long as there are 6 billion other people out there with a different point of view, then I don't think anyone else can justifiably jump up to the plate either ! Re: does this mean we are ALL grand and holy?

cuz... uhmmm i say so and I say that if u want to think you are grand and holy then it could help one to be happy and to respect one's life and other's and it couldn't hurt, unless well.. if it is taken out of context and abused it just means that if you are alive, somewhere deep inside there must be some confirmation that one's life is sacred and thus oneself as well and if not, then why are you here walking upon the earth and taking up space? even darkness is holy " the gateway to all understanding" lao tzu Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
