If it had anything to do with cleaning products..then this is a lesson for any of us.

I've been sickened by certain cleaning products..pledge and swifter are 2 that make me very ill.

I am sorry but my first thought, when I found out it was in the john, was NOT of bleach mixed with ammonia. It was...well, let your imagination take you away...

Hydrogen sulfide is a very dangerous compound which can occur in association with rotting waste of various types. If the pipes got clogged and somehow the gas got released or forced backward that might do something.

I remember when I lived in a particular appartment, they did this high pressure cleaning every 3 mos, mostly as a preventive measure. But sometimes it caused some really foul smelling stuff to come back up into the bathroom. I remember running out of the house one day when I realized that they were doing that. It was a good thing, but I wasn't aware at the time of the potential for toxic exposure, I just remembered how nasty the smell was.

The gas in lesser amounts can cause altered consiousness. They explained 'jencus' in an episode of 1,000 ways to die. The guy was using that foul gas to get high, and o.d.ed when he got the idea of using an outhouse as a source.

I met a woman once that had no sense of smell because to much cleaning chemicals she used in her house.This stuff goes to your brain.very dangerous.

LOL- maybe that explains ME! I have mixed bleach with soap or ammonia and even though I feel the lethal vapors going into my lungs and know how horrible it is, I have never lost my sense of smell or passed out.

do you think a chelation with cilantro would help? -cleaning the liver would help to cleaning the brain? a lot cilantro juice I would say.

I have heard KLA is supposed to do wonders for the brain. I had great results with super biofood. Not KLA but some special blend of different specially grown algae. I really do think that my memory recall improved after taking it during school last year.

Nanners, and anybody else that has, or even thinks of mixing bleach with ammonia, do you know what Mustard gas is? cause thats what you get when you mix the two, it causes a lot of damage to your lungs and brain... so please be careful.

LOL- it's all starting to come together now...It's amazing that it's mustard gas because I have done it many times and felt that toxic vapor go straight into my lungs and...nada...It was almost like--shouldn't I be passed out or something? Believe me, I knew it was noxious gas and all but somehow it didn't do me in like other people. I try to avoid it, of course.
