Date: January 23, 2012 05:24PM Here are my current faves in no particular order.
Your Hand In Mine (amazing, ethereal, dreamy, lovely good listening. [www.youtube.com] Gotye's new song is getting so popular, for good reason! A playlist follows, if you'd like to hear more just let it play on. [www.youtube.com] And an excellent cover by an absolutely stellar band [www.youtube.com] Also look up Kimbra, the artist who accompanies Gotye in that first song. You can input something you like and it will find you a play list of similar music. Pretty nifty! Sort of like Pandora radio which we can't get in Canada anymore. Re: Good Music (songs and playlists). What R U listening to?

Date: January 24, 2012 02:25PM I too love the 70's music. My 14year old son is currently blasting the house out with Led Zepellin - which is just fine by me. He also like Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and AC/DC. All of that is fine by me.
I am currently in to Marvyn Gaye, The Eagles, Sandy Denny, Aswad, Burning Spear, King Tubby, Janis Joplin and Patti Smith. My partner always has a default setting of The Clash, The Who and Jethro Tull. In the car I currently have Pavarotti's favorite arias which I absolutely adore. Blue grass is getting big in the UK and my son keeps sending me some great links - there's some American band which he currently loves (the name escapes me at the moment - I know it has a few numbers like 137 or something in it!!!) which is a bit like punky bluegrass - great stuff. I like all kinds of stuff and it varies from week to week what I might be listening too. Re: Good Music (songs and playlists). What R U listening to?

Date: January 24, 2012 04:42PM Years ago my mom took me to see a friend's band, they called their music "New Grass". Here she is performing something really fun. I love this music so much, it lifts the heart <3.

Date: February 04, 2012 04:16AM Mickey Hart, the former drummer for the Grateful Dead, is feeling ambitious. On his new album, an as-yet-untitled collaboration with lyricist Robert Hunter, he's setting the sounds of the entire history of the universe to music. And this isn't just some cosmic concept album - Hart, 67, who sits on the board of the Smithsonian, is collaborating with high-ranking NASA scientists, engineers at Meyer Sound and telescope operators around the globe to transfer light waves to sound waves to jams Deadheads can groove on.
this you should hear! Re: Good Music (songs and playlists). What R U listening to?

Oddly enough there was a music video on a music station! Since that day, I've watched it quite a bit. I dig everything about it. Something about his eyes just mesmorizes me.
