Did you re-activate John Rose's account yet? I would have asked you in a PM, but it's not functioning.

What happened? Was John Rose banned?

He was suspended for 30 days on the 13th of September as a warning to the rest of us who were talking politics, but the 30 days have been up for a while now, so I was thinking maybe Bryan forgot to re-instate his account. I see Bryan is posting on the main forum, so I guess I'll ask him about it over there.

Why was he banned then? Just curious. Not trying to debate or anything. PEACE! I assumed that it was done to say that political talk won't be tolerated.

That's how I interpreted Bryan's statements when he explained why he 'gave John Rose a vacation' -

"I've asked people here to refrain from post political and economic posts to the other topics forum, as well as the rest of this forum. John has consistently felt that he didn't need to follow these rules.

As such, I am deactivating John's account for the next 30 days. For others making political and economic posts, you can also expect the same."

"This is why I am going to be give out more vacations as people add political or economic posts here."

**************

If that's not a warning, I don't know what is. But then, I'm not a wordsmith.

Hi Superjuice -

(Further explanation as per your inquiry on the Main Forum)

You probably didn't even know we had an Other Topics Forum, because only a couple people post here since it became so boring. And most who do start a thread, are mostly now posting raw food and other health related topics, which are intended to go on the Main Forum and Other Health Related Forum, but I guess they're trying to keep the Other Topics Forum limping along.

Interpret how you wish Kidraw he was banned for many reasons most if which he was reported for

The way you make it sound is he was banned as a warning to the rest of which is not true no matter what color you highlight it

Drama much ?

And if it's so boring here why don't you leave why come back and say anything at all.?

You are one person here of many who don't feel it is boring at all

Maybe you (and john) should get together and start your own exciting forum that is based around debate if that is what you are looking for

I was under the impression that he was banned solely for posting politics. Would you mind telling me the other reasons he was banned and what reasons was he reported for?

I should have been more clear and also said -

"John Rose was banned for posting politics" "AS A WARNING TO THE REST OF US."

But I stand by my assessment that he was banned AS a warning.

Two different words here -

FOR (which I neglected to state) and AS (which I am correct in my usage)

Please go back and re-read my second post in this thread, and I think you'll see that I did use the word "AS", and not the word "FOR".

I have to admit that I find it to be boring. The people who complained the most vociferously about the political talk aren't doing anything to keep things interesting now that it's gone. It's like okay it's your time to shine. This is the atmosphere you begged and pleaded for...crickets.

To answer your first non-question, I did leave. The reason I came back is to represent John Rose who may be stuck in cyberspace chomping at the bit to come back. He is one of us, after all.

And as far as 'drama' goes, this forum thrives on drama. This thread has gotten more replys in one day than the rest of them garnered in over a month. It needed an injection of adrenaline. smiling smiley

I like the drama! If you're healthy, the debate and disagreement should roll right off of you with no negative effect at all. I learn from it. Everyone being in lock-step with one point of view has nothing to do with enlightenment or peace.

I am not Privy to what he was banned for other then whats already been stated by the Admins of this board. Any other reason that was shared to me personally by the people that did report will remain with me personally.

HH I have many varied points of view and don't feel any need to have drama to get them across to anyone. It has nothing to do with peace or enlightenment .. I am far from my own journey of enlightenment. I just don't feel contentious debate has any place in a forum that is here to serve people "looking" for peace and health and education.

Likewise in real life , I don't go into institutes of learning or education and Act loud, rude, annoying and make a ruckus, call people names etc. .. simply for the reason its more exciting.

I liken this forum to a place of learning and I am with Bryan I prefer "the feel of this forum now that the politics is gone. Its less active, but the energy feels way nicer."

If you scroll down the list of threads, it just a bunch of mostly Panchito posting and nobody replying or a bunch of threads that belong in the Other Health Related or Main Forum and most threads only have 1 or 2 replies.

Inactive and boring. It's OK if you have nothing else to do, but if you're busy and like to read something interesting when you have a chance to get online, this Other Topics forum would put you to sleep.

Looking at the threads again, I see that in the last month, only HH has posted interesting topics that are not health-related.

Bryan, would you be so kind as to move the threads in this "Other Topics" Forum which are "Other Health Related" to the Other Health Related Forum, please, or is it now OK to post a thread on any subject in any forum willy-nilly regardless of topic.

KidRaw, I don't think that is necessary. Some of this stuff is light or humorous or weird or strange, and seems appropriate for here.

By "drama" I mean something totally benign. I walk away from the debate here with a smile on my face. It's no big deal and it's nice to see other's points of view. I take it lightly and enjoy the banter. I don't see the rudeness and I don't see people being aggressive. People are going to disagree. La-dee-dah. It's no skin off my back. This specific forum is not a health forum by the way.

I would also disagree with there being health related topics here but I know how to ignore threads that don't interest me. For example, if I weren't interested in politics I would ignore the political threads instead of banning them. It's that simple.

Benign by definition states:

benign
adjective
1.
gentle and kind.
"his benign but firm manner"
synonyms: kindly, kind, warm-hearted, good-natured, friendly, warm, affectionate, agreeable, amiable, good-humoured, genial, congenial, cordial, approachable, tender, tender-hearted, soft-hearted, gentle, sympathetic, compassionate, caring, considerate, thoughtful, helpful, well disposed, obliging, accommodating, generous, big-hearted, unselfish, benevolent, gracious, liberal, indulgent; rarebenignant
"he adopted a benign grandfatherly role"
antonyms: unfriendly, hostile
(of a climate or environment) mild and favourable.
"the climate becomes more benign as we move nearer to the Black Sea"
synonyms: temperate, mild, gentle, clement, calm, balmy, pleasant, agreeable, soft, soothing, refreshing; More
antonyms: harsh, unhealthy, unfavourable
not harmful to the environment.
"the cycle as a benign form of transport"
2.
MEDICINE
(of a disease) not harmful in effect.

I personally don't feel 'Drama' in the sense that it has been around here lately to be any of the above. If you see it that way I can respect your viewpoint while disagreeing.

I walk
> away from the debate here with a smile on my face.

People are walking away from here permanently because of the debate, I dont think that is acceptable

It is a big deal to some people

and it's nice to see other's

I completely agree if its polite, nurturing and respectful which it has not been

I take it lightly and enjoy the

But some people do not

Some people do, are, and have been and complained about it through the proper channels

People are going to
> disagree. La-dee-dah. It's no skin off my back.
> This specific forum is not a health forum by the

Nor by the way is it a forum to discuss politics as previously stated (a number of times)
