Date: November 03, 2013 04:21PM I have been successful using nothing sharper that a paring knife for the young coconuts. Hairy ones are a whole other animal but all you do is shave the sides of a shaved coconut and using the tip of the paring knife you start to pierce it at various places along the side of the tip (which you had shaved down) until you find the "sweet spots" where it's soft. Then you just saw around and lift the "lid." Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
