The Nazi's referred to modern art as entartete kunst, or degenerate art. Of course, anyone who didn't think inside their little box of lederhosen, beer, and calisthenics was considered degenerate. Those particularly marked as degenerate were homosexuals and people with neuro-diverse traits (i.e. the mentally ill in old-timey speak). Nazis can not stand gays or people who are not simple-minded. Modern artists in Weimar Germany were considered degenerate or mentally ill.
