awsome book. It is cheap too. It is a coffee table book full of colorful ilustrations and pictures. Great investment. It does have important section about brain diet. I'll put it here:

Quote

OXIGEN AND GLUCOSE SUPPLY

Glucose is the brain's sole fuel, except under conditions of starvation, when it breaks down protein. The brain is by far the body's hungriest organ. Although it accounts for just 2% of the body's weight, it requirest a staggering 20% of its total glucose supplies. This is obtain from dietary carbohydrate, which is transported to the brain via the bloodstream. It consumes roughly 4oz (~ 420Kcal) per day. Beacuse the brain cannot store glucose, it must be readily available at all times via the blood supply. Without oxygen or glucose, the brain can last for only about 10 minutes before irreparable damage occurs. This is why prompt resucitation is needed in cases of cardiac arrest.

It makes you wonder about those low carb diets which say that carbs are poison. Can you imagine the stress on the brain cells they create? Brain cells tend to live for a lifetime. Other cells live only 5 days (gut lining) but the majority live 10-15 years. So your body is not as old as your birthday. People only perceive life from the birthday because of the brain cells lifetime range.
