Trump's lawyer admits to paying the 130k to the porn woman. Calling her a star is shameful.

While President Donald Trump rails at American companies that hire foreign workers, he’s not following his own advice. Of 144 openings at three of his properties, including Mar-a-Lago, only a single one went to an American, according to Department of Labor records. The rest went to seasonal foreign workers in the U.S. on special visas requested by the Trump Organization, reports Vox.
An examination of filings by the Trump Organization with the Labor Department from 2016 to 2017 reveals that a lone American worker, a cook, was hired in August 2016 among 144 open positions for servers, cooks, housekeepers and bartenders, Vox found. Most of the jobs were at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump’s favorite weekend getaway. The others were the National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, in New York, and Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida. The jobs generally pay $10 to $13 an hour.
Mar-a-Lago was granted 70 visas to bring in foreign workers just last year for the winter season beginning in October. That was a 9 percent increase over the previous year.
Since 2010 Mar-a-Lago alone has obtained a total of 500 H-2B visas for seasonal workers, many of them from Haiti and Romania, sources have told The New Yorker.
In January Trump’s Department of Homeland Security removed Haiti from the list of more than 80 countries eligible for those visas as well as for the H-2A farmworker visas, citing “high levels of fraud and abuse” and a “high rate of overstaying the terms” of their visas. Fortune magazine warned that the crackdown on Haitian workers could “cripple” Mar-a-Lago since the resort has long relied on Haitians. DHS took the action just days after Trump complained about immigrants from what he reportedly called “@#$%& countries,” referring to Haiti and African nations.
The H-2B visa program allows non-agricultural, seasonal employers — such as hotels — to hire foreign workers but only when the businesses can’t find Americans to fill the jobs. The Trump administration temporarily expanded the program in 2017, which benefited Trump businesses. At the same time, the president restricted the H-1B program for highly skilled immigrants.  

Companies are required to run two want ads in local newspapers before applying for foreign worker visas. Mar-a-Lago placed two hard-to-find classified ads in tiny type with no phone number or email information, according to a Washington Post report last year. Workers could apply for the jobs only by fax or mail.
CareerSource Palm Beach County, a nonprofit placement agency, told The Palm Beach Post at the time that they had thousands of Americans eager to work at Mar-a-Lago.
Trump has criticized Ford Motor Co., Carrier Corp. and others for moving manufacturing jobs to Mexico. Mar-a-Lago was applying for the foreign worker visas last July at the same time the president launched “Made in America Week” at the White House. 
Trump said then: “We believe jobs must be offered to American workers first. Does that make sense?”
CNN reported in 2016 that Trump businesses had employed at least 1,256 foreign workers in the previous 15 years. Trump Vineyard Estates filed requests for visas to bring in foreign farmworkers at its Virginia winery in 2016 and 2017.

A White House source told The Washington Post that last week’s mass shooting at a Florida high school, which left 17 people dead, offered a “reprieve” from the “chaos” facing the administration of President Donald Trump. 
The shooting came at a time when the White House was on the defensive after the latest indictments in the Russia investigation and new reports accusing Trump of having an affair with former Playboy model Karen McDougal as well as porn star Stormy Daniels, among other developments. 
“For everyone, it was a distraction or a reprieve,” the official said in an article published Monday. “A lot of people here felt like it was a reprieve from seven or eight days of just getting pummeled.”

Top ACLU Voting Rights Lawyer Rips Into Trump Expert’s Evidence Of Kansas Voter Fraud
Hans von Spakovsky admits he can’t name an election that turned on noncitizen ballots in a trial over proof-of-citizenship law.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The ACLU’s top voting rights lawyer faced down one of President Donald Trump’s voter fraud commissioners in court on Friday, getting him to concede that he had shaky evidence of significant voter fraud in Kansas.
The exchange came on the fourth day of a trial over a Kansas law that requires residents to prove they are U.S. citizens when they register to vote. Several residents who were not allowed to vote in the 2016 election are being represented by the American Civil Liberties Union in the suit against Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach (R).
Dale Ho, director of the ACLU’s voting rights project, questioned Hans von Spakovsky, a former Justice Department official and member of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, who is one of the most prominent people arguing that noncitizen voter registration is a substantial issue. Several studies and investigations have shown it is not.
The back-and-forth between the two men in U.S. District Court ostensibly was about Kansas law (von Spakovsky is serving as an expert witness for Kobach). But Ho’s cross-examination had deeper significance in the national debate over voting restrictions because he was able to show that allegations of widespread voter fraud can often be based on incomplete information derived using unscientific methods.
Von Spakovsky has said that voter fraud is a serious problem both in Kansas and nationally. Questioned by Kobach in court on Friday, he pointed to a handful of cases in Kansas and hundreds of allegations of noncitizens on the voter rolls that date back to the 1980s.
But Ho noted that von Spakovsky had donated to defendant Kobach’s campaign in 2010 and had voiced support for the idea that being born in the United States doesn’t guarantee U.S. citizenship. Ho intended to show that von Spakovsky had formed an opinion about the Kansas law before he knew much about it and had written an expert report based on unreliable information.
Von Spakovsky admitted that he was not aware of a single election in which noncitizen votes determined the outcome. He also conceded that his research into voter fraud had not been subjected to the same kind of rigorous peer review that academic work would face.

Ho noted that von Spakovsky’s expert report in the case contained incomplete information that allowed him to inflate the likelihood of noncitizens getting on the rolls. In one example, von Spakovsky pointed to a NBC News story that said 100 registered voters had returned jury duty questionnaires indicating they were not U.S. citizens. Von Spakovsky failed to note in his report, however, that NBC followed up with those voters and that about a third actually were citizens.
Under Ho’s questioning, von Spakovsky also admitted that his entire understanding of voter fraud in Kansas was based on a spreadsheet prepared by Kobach’s office of about 30 noncitizens who attempted to get on the voter rolls in one county in the state over the course of 18 years. Pressed if he knew the circumstances behind any of the cases, such as if any of reports were caused by an administrative error or confusion, von Spakovsky said he did not.
Von Spakovsky’s testimony is crucial to Kobach’s defense of the Kansas law. Kobach, who was also on the voter fraud commission with von Spakovsky, has to show that noncitizens getting on the voter rolls is a substantial problem and that nothing short of asking people to provide proof of citizenship can prevent it.
Ho had not spoken much during the trial since the opening arguments on Tuesday, but it was clear he had been waiting for an opportunity to question von Spakovsky. As he questioned him, Ho was icy. His questions were short and rapid, and he often raised his voice as he asked them, while von Spakovsky mostly answered quietly. At one point he turned his back to von Spakovsky. Kobach objected throughout that Ho was harassing the witness, and U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson admonished Ho to dial down his theatrics.
Robinson also questioned von Spakovsky’s understanding of voter fraud. In his Friday testimony, von Spakovsky said that any ineligible voter who cast a ballot was committing voter fraud because they were diluting the vote of a legitimate citizen. Robinson wanted to know if he believed it would also be voter fraud if thousands of legitimate voters were blocked from casting ballots because of a voting restriction (the ACLU estimates the Kansas law affected more than 35,000 people). Von Spakovsky said that he didn’t consider it to be fraud because every voter had an opportunity to obtain the necessary documents to register.
Pressed later by Ho, he was unable to name any voting restriction in the United States that he believed to be a burden to voters.

Hi RHB. I read an article about that exchange. Trump has so much wickedness but he is not all bad. He has a good side. It takes guts to talk about vaccines. It takes compassion to recognize the many children who have died and gotten sick from vaccines. There Bill Gates is defending vaccines but does he show any compassion for the untold number of victims of them? My friend is a pediatrician and she carefully considers a child's immune system before giving a vaccine and she said drug makers are offering thimerosal-free vaccines, due to the public outcry. Even doctors can't deny the many victims from vaccines, but they are forced to work with the current imperfect technology. And many wonder about Bill Gates' intentions.

It is not suprising that Trump doesn't understand STDs. If he actually understood, he wouldn't have slept with a porn star PERIOD. Stormy said Trump didn't use protection, so that shows his utter ignorance. The chances that Trump has HPV are very high. Poor Melania. It's clear why she won't hold his hand. But why would he ask Bill Gates this and not his doctor? It doesn't make sense. Clearly Bill is trying to smear the Donald. I won't truly believe it unless I hear the conversation. However, I do believe everything Trump has spoken himself and the worst things he has said are recorded on Howard Stern's show.

HVP is quite newly diagnosed - in the '80. So for those adults older than forty or fifty or whatever, who are probably married or not having sex every two seconds and getting infections from sex every two seconds, I'm sure they're not up on all the latest STI's happening to all the young idiots.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the United States, and most people appear to be exposed to the virus shortly after their first sexual experience. Similar to other gynecological conditions, HPV infection is detected more frequently, is more persistent and is more difficult to treat in women living with HIV compared to HIV-negative women. Regular monitoring is the best way to ensure that any problems are detected and treated as soon as possible. This article will highlight some of what is known about HPV and HIV.
HPV is very easily transmitted from person to person, and condoms cannot prevent HPV transmissions as warts around the genital area may shed virus to skin that is not protected by a condom. In most cases, HPV-related disease (genital warts or a pre-cancerous condition called dysplasia) may not develop at all or take years or decades to develop. In addition, the risk of recurrence after treatment is low, suggesting in general that HPV treatment is effective. As with most viruses, however, even when an HPV-related condition isn't present (like when warts respond to treatment and go away), a person still has HPV infection. It's possible that warts or other HPV-related conditions can come back and/or it's possible to transmit HPV to others.

People living with HIV and others with compromised immunity are more at risk for HPV-related complications. Women living with HIV tend to have multiple types of HPV (which is associated with a greater risk of HPV-related disease), are less likely to clear HPV-related conditions (like when warts are more difficult to treat and less likely to go away) and are more likely to progress to HPV-related disease (such as warts progressing to dysplasia).

One study looking at HPV infection in both HIV-positive and -negative women suggests that HIV may be activating dormant HPV and thus increase the risk of HPV-related disease. Immune suppression decreases the body's ability to keep HPV in check. This link was recognized well before the HIV epidemic. In the case of HIV, as HIV progresses, the ability of the immune system to control HPV infection is reduced. This can result in higher levels of HPV and the development of HPV-related disease.

Immunosuppressed and HIV positive individuals are at a high risk of both HPV infection and HPV-associated disease. High HIV RNA levels and CD4 < 200 cells per mm3 counts are associated with both incident and persistent HPV infection, although the association with incident infection is stronger [18]. Among women with oncogenic HPV, HIV-positive women with low CD4 cell counts are more likely than either HIV-negative women or HIV-positive women with high CD4 cell counts to develop SIL [19].

After a closer look at the facts, the Times concluded that these were yet more misleading claims aimed at the administration's handling of immigration.

"Did the Trump administration separate nearly 1,500 immigrant children from their parents at the border, and then lose track of them?" the Times asks. "No. The government did realize last year that it lost track of 1,475 migrant children it had placed with sponsors in the United States, according to testimony before a Senate subcommittee last month. But those children had arrived alone at the Southwest border — without their parents."

The nearly 1,500 children in question came into the country "without their parents," thus could not have been "ripped" from their parents arms. Nor could they be described as "lost," as had been initially claimed.

Last year, the Department of Health and Human Services reached out to the sponsors of the 7,635 children they had helped place in homes to check on their status. They learned that 6,075 of the children were still with their sponsors. "Twenty-eight had run away, five had been removed from the United States and 52 had relocated to live with a nonsponsor," the Times reports. "The rest were unaccounted for, giving rise to the 1,475 number."

But that doesn't mean they are "lost," the Times underscores: "It is possible that some of the adult sponsors simply chose not to respond to the agency."

In other words, the key assertions that made this a bombshell story were yet more claims aimed at condemning the Trump administration that were made and spread without all the facts or context.
