The release was vehemently opposed by the intelligence community, with the FBI issuing a rare public statement to express its "grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo's accuracy."

The House Intelligence Committee has released its memorandum summarizing Obama administration surveillance abuses against Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

The key takeaway is that the dossier put together by ex-spy Christopher Steele was “essential” to obtaining a FISA court warrant to surveil the Trump campaign. Without the Steele dossier, the FISA warrant to spy on Trump’s campaign would not have been granted.

This story is blowing up. Cutting through the noise, here’s what’s important:

The Hillary Clinton campaign for the presidency and the Democratic National Committee paid over $160,000 for a dossier put together by ex-spy Christopher Steele that has never been verified. According to the memo, Steele “was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president.”

The Obama administration’s FBI used the unverified information in the dossier to obtain a FISA court warrant to surveil Carter Page, a member of the Donald Trump campaign for the presidency. The FBI did not tell the FISA court judge the information in the dossier was paid for by the Clinton campaign.

Carter Page was spied on by the Obama administration, and “incidental” surveillance was collected on other members of the Trump campaign.

Members of the Obama administration “unmasked” U.S. persons involved with the Trump campaign, those who were surveilled based on the unverified, Clinton-funded information presented to the FISA court by Obama’s FBI. Information about these individuals was later leaked to the media in an attempt to build a case that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016.

There is no evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians. There is ample evidence that the Obama administration illegitimately spied on Trump’s campaign.

What this information means is that the FBI and our federal intelligence-gathering agencies were politicized under the Obama administration to oppose Donald Trump’s election and later undermine his presidency.

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today announced that Justice Department refuses to release the proposed budget of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel Office. Judicial Watch is seeking the information through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit.

Judicial Watch sought “the copy of the budget prepared or submitted” by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. But, on Friday, January 19, the Justice Department notified Judicial Watch that it refuses to turn over documents, stating: “seven pages were located that contain records responsive to your … request. We have determined that this material should be withheld in full because it is protected from disclosure under the FOIA.” The Justice Department asserts the Mueller budget information cannot be released because its release could interfere with “law enforcement proceedings” and the material is protected from disclosure by the “deliberative process privilege.”

Obama "Indicted" by a "Grand Jury" (of Birthers)


A while back, birther lawyer Stephen Pidgeon continued his descent into madness "National Grand Jury" to file a supposed indictment on President Obama.

Basically this was the birther's attempt to get some sort of "legal" action going since all their cases have gone nowhere. Rooted firmly in the Pseudolaw that the birthers and their teabagging tax cheat allies are so fond of, the belief was that a "citizens" court could force some sort of official reaction from the courts and law enforcement

Realistically speaking, it was more like getting the National Baseball Association to change their season based on the demands of a couple fantasy baseball leagues. Because the main problems with this entire idea is:

1) There is no legal validity to anything they do or say. In fact, it's a bit dangerous for exactly that reason. Say this fantasy grand jury meets, decides someone is guilty.

Then they realize they have NO authority. The courts don't recognize them. Law Enforcement doesn't recognize them. They have no legal authority or recourse at all. What happens then?

Historically speaking, this type of behaviour leads to Kangaroo Courts, Lynch Mobs, and other forms of vigilantism and extrajudicial punishment.
