Government Public School System

Since the Libs took over the public school system Sex Education is being shoved in children's faces as young as kindergarden and it's becoming more and more graphic and inappropriate.

Parents Stage Walkout Over Planned Parenthood's Graphic, Violent Sex Ed in Public Schools

[pjmedia.com]

Sex education in public schools has gone off the deep end. Gone are the days of handing out birth control and practicing putting condoms on bananas. These days your kid is more likely to come away from school with more sexually deviant knowledge than single gay dudes in New York City, thanks to Planned Parenthood's comprehensive sex ed program that has somehow made it into public school curriculums. These programs teach dangerous and violent practices like BDSM, asphyxiation, gender-bending, anal sex, and let's not forget "rimming," which can saddle your kid with nasty parasitic infections.

To my fellow homos and all who like rimming... be extra careful whose asshole you eat!! [t.co]
— Perez (@ThePerezHilton) January 31, 2018

Planned Parenthood has already been caught on video by Live Action advising a girl they think is 15 years old to allow her boyfriend to beat, whip, and gag her. These are the same people that taxpayers want educating their kids in schools? I can't imagine why anyone would want this, and neither can a group of fed up parents who have organized a walkout later this month.

"On April 23rd, parents around the nation will be pulling their children out of school for the day in protest of dangerous and graphic sex education and uniting at various locations to hold press events and field media questions," say organizers of Sex Ed Sit Out. Education chairwoman of the Indiana Liberty Coalition and one of the protest organizers, Rhonda Miller, stated, “Follow the money. Comprehensive sex ed is being rolled out across America, often sponsored by special interest LGBT groups like Human Rights Campaign, and disguised as anti-bullying programs. If it’s not okay for special interest groups like the NRA to be buying classroom time to push their agenda, then how is it okay for HRC monies to be buying schools off to teach gender-bending ideology and anal sex tutorials?”

These programs claim to teach abstinence too, but when investigated, "abstinence" by their definition includes masturbation, anal sex, oral sex, and mutual masturbation. This is a seriously deformed definition of abstinence, which has traditionally meant "restraining oneself from indulging" in any sexual behavior. New "comprehensive sex ed" programs do not include any discussion of celibacy as a viable alternative to early sexual activity, which can lead teens into poverty, early pregnancy, or chronic illness. Sane adults would tell children that sexual activity is only for adults who can pay for the medical treatments they might need and support any children that may come as a result. Insane adults hire Planned Parenthood to teach dangerous and disgusting sexual deviancy to minors and call it "educational." If you think you can opt out of health class and keep your kids out during this indoctrination, you're wrong. "Comprehensive sex education" means they've woven it through science, math, English, and writing. How will you opt out of those things?

Might there also be a conflict of interest in allowing the number one abortion provider in the nation to prime their waiting rooms with more clients—minor kids? In this video, a Sex Ed Sit Out organizer shows actual curriculum that has students go to a clinic on their own (taking the bus so as not to alert their parents) to fill out a form about what services Planned Parenthood offers. Basically, it's a paid commercial for Planned Parenthood using your student as the unwitting consumer. Those abortions aren't free, and Planned Parenthood doesn't make its money selling condoms. It isn't enough that our federal government funds Planned Parenthood, but now they are being allowed to actively recruit new customers in our schools? How did this happen and how do we make it stop?

You and Pol Pot have so much in common about schools and universitys.

Stop the spin Jennifer, Govt controlled schools,
maybe in the county you are from people might be lazy and no locals want to run for school boards and they just step back and let state and feds run show, but that's not how it works my dear.

School boards are made up of locals, voted in or appointed by LOCAl's not the Feds my dear.

If you don't like the way the schools are being run, shut up and spend that energy getting elected to a board and make change if you really think Big brother is in control.

Public schools are operated at the state level through departments of education, and locally by school districts and publicly elected or appointed school boards. Approximately 15,000 different school districts operate in the United States, and most are run by counties. Because there is very little federal oversight, curricula in one state can differ from those in other states.

Teacher Says School Reprimanded Him After His Husband Sent Flowers

Parents and students at an Illinois school are rallying in support of a music teacher who says Valentine’s Day flowers from his husband sparked a months long controversy.

Nathan Etter, who teaches at Prairie View Grade School in Burlington, Illinois, said his first grade students reacted negatively after he received a vase of flowers from his husband, Philip Etter. The 30-year-old told The Chicago Tribune that he opted to use the interaction as a “teachable moment,” explaining to students that some families have two moms or two dads.

“When the kids asked, ‘Are those flowers from your wife?’ I said, ‘No, they’re from my husband,’” Etter recalled. “There was [a] first grade response, such as ‘Ew, gross.’ I said, ‘Oh no, friends, we’re not going to have that response, because that’s not showing respect.’”

That “teachable moment,” however, apparently backfired. Etter was summoned to the principal’s office after a parent contacted the school about his comments, according to an April 13 statement issued by the Illinois Education Association and sent to faculty and staff.

In that meeting, the statement said, he was told that the parent felt he was “using Valentine’s Day as a means to celebrate his lifestyle choices.” The principal, he said, advised him to “stick to the curriculum.”

“The way the situation was handled has brought me great personal concern,” Etter said, “and continues to cause me to question my security in my teaching position in the district.”

Philip Etter agreed. “This would have never happened if Nathan received flowers from his wife,” he told NBC.

About 100 students, parents and faculty members appeared in support of Etter at a standing-room-only school board meeting Monday where the incident was discussed, the Tribune reported. Some carried placards that read “We support Mr. Etter” and “Respect for all.”

After Monday’s meeting, Jeff Kellenberger, president of Central Community Unit School District 301, said that the district “had no further concerns and considered the matter resolved,” adding that Etter’s employment “was never in jeopardy.”

“A primary value of 301 is we are welcome, inclusive, respectful to all faculty, staff, students and families,” Kellenberger told NBC.

Lib Women ruining our children:

I'm Proud My Second-Grader Is Being Indoctrinated About Transgenderism And Sexuality

On Monday, Jessica Valenti made clear just why so many conservatives now homeschool their children. She tweeted out an explanation to conservatives about LGBTQ language, and added that her second-grader was learning about it:

To the folks who find LGBTQ language “confusing”: If my daughter’s second grade class gets it, so can you. pic.twitter.com/kgDKlZH5jP
— Jessica Valenti (@JessicaValenti) April 20, 2018

Now, you might be asking yourself why a seven-year-old girl needs to learn about sexual desire at all, let alone homosexual sexual desire; you might be asking yourself why a seven-year-old should be indoctrinated about children being “assigned male or female at birth” when such language is the language of anti-scientific nonsense.

But according to Valenti, you would be the degraded one. After all, school teachers should certainly inform pre-pubescent children about matters of moral and scientific controversy. But, you might answer, young children don’t have the critical thinking skills necessary to ask important questions about this framework.

That, of course, is entirely the point. Children are supposed to be indoctrinated with left-wing views regarding gender and sex — they’re supposed to be told that sex and gender are utterly disconnected, that every sexual activity is equally valid. Children are supposed to be confused about matters of deep philosophical and lifestyle importance, so that later, they feel free to follow whatever feelings they have. We can’t teach children nothing — then their parents might teach them the wrong things. They might teach their children that men were men and women were women, for example, which could create preconceived notions about sex. And if parents were to teach children about the societal value of heterosexual lifestyles, or about the mere biological advantages of heterosexual activity, that could lead to discrimination.

So, better to get them in line now.

And then the Left wonders why conservative parents are pulling their children out of classrooms run by the Left in droves?

Planned Parenthood Instructor Has Mother Arrested for Trying to Audit Pornographic Sex Ed Class

[pjmedia.com]

Planned Parenthood is willing to go to extreme lengths to keep parents from knowing what kind of sex education they offer kids. St. Mary's County Library in Maryland contracted a Planned Parenthood certified instructor to put on a pornographic sex workshop for teens—no parents allowed. When mother Kathleen Crank tried to enter the class, she was arrested for trespassing. It all began when local parents heard about the class and began researching the instructor. What they found was the exact opposite of the type of person they wanted teaching their kids about sex. Parent-led protest site Creepy Library reported:

The instructor, Bianca Palmisano, was keynote speaker of SlutWalk in 2013 where she promoted the sex toy shop she worked at the time, saying it was a place, "where polyamorous leather dykes could hang out with kinky bisexuals and couples and compare notes with lifelong swingers, and still welcome those just beginning to explore their sexuality. We host workshops twice a month, bringing in speakers from across the country to share their expertise on everything from blowjobs to threesomes to rough sex.”

Palmisano defends sex work and advocates for the legalization of prostitution. She seems sincere, but naive and unprepared to face real pushback from parents who don't want her moral views (that prostitution and anal sex are somehow good for people) pushed onto their minor kids. Palmisano and others like her who advocate for every type of sexual proclivity to be taught in gory detail to K-8th graders have zero understanding or compassion for parents who are fighting with every tool in their arsenal to keep this oversexed-culture rot from their children. It's as if they don't know that half of the country thinks they're crazy sickos for teaching ten-year-olds how to give blowjobs! When Crank tried to enter the class, she was arrested and charged with trespassing, despite identifying as a teenager in order to meet the age restriction. If you find that laughable, consider that Palmisano uses the pronouns "she" and "they" unironically. The same woman teaching kids that biological sex can be whatever you want it to be barred a woman from her class for identifying as someone younger than her biological age. (Bigot!)

The class, taught by Palmisano for minors, included handing out samples of lubricants and condoms. No parents were able to report the content of her messaging.

She later wrote about it on her blog: "I talk about anal sex, I believe abortion should be legal and accessible and I don’t believe that we need to hide the complexities of sexuality from our young people."

Palmisano also teaches BDSM classes. It is not known if she talked about that in the library, but we do know that Planned Parenthood trains its teachers to tell minors they can have a "healthy BDSM relationship." This kind of education is the last thing most parents want for their children. Parents who object to such graphic and fringe teaching liken it to grooming their children for sexual abuse. Despite constant pushing by Hollywood, BDSM is still a fringe fetish fraught with dangers that should not be tried by minors. Moira Greyland, daughter of famous gay parents Walter Breen and Marion Zimmer Bradley, recently penned The Last Closet: The Dark Side of Avalon about her abusive childhood. Greyland's perspective on sexualizing children is an important one as she was sexually abused and has extensive experience with sexual predators. I sent Greyland Planned Parenthood's sex-ed materials that are directed at children and asked for her reaction to them.

"I have watched the new developments in sex ed with increasing horror," said Greyland. "Teaching children the basics of anatomy is one thing, so nobody is shocked by the common events of normal puberty as experienced by children who are not expected to be sexual. Teaching children that they should have sex at all is wrong on several levels," she continued.

"First, when children are taught that an activity between males and females is 'normal.' it becomes harder and harder to refuse," she explained. "It is bad enough that young women are expected to perform sexually for young men at ever-younger ages, even before there is actual dating. Teaching young people about BDSM is unforgivable. Why? Because BDSM fuses sex with violence," says Greyland. "Among adults, the potential for abuse and exploitation in BDSM relationships is already high, because the less-powerful person is routinely manipulated into activities she (or he) does not want," she continued. "Adults are expected to be mature enough to handle those abusive situations themselves. However, in children, brain development is not completed. To expect children to be able to 'safely' commit acts of limited sexual violence on one another is absolutely ludicrous."

Here are Planned Parenthood's approved guidelines from partner SIECUS. Level 1 is Kindergarten:

Greyland took special exception to Planned Parenthood's insistence on teaching children in kindergarten to masturbate. "Teaching children about masturbation can be very shocking for those who are not already doing so, and embarrassing for any who are doing so. Any mother who has been around inappropriate sex talk in front of kids is familiar with the cries of EEEEEEEEWWWWWWW which will normally be the response of kids with good boundaries," she said. "Deliberately breaking down those boundaries and forcing kids to listen to graphic descriptions of adult sexual acts is grooming, plain and simple. Grooming is the act of getting kids used to sex talk so they can be manipulated into tolerating more and more sexual behavior from adults. It is the way that children are manipulated into situations where they are molested," said Greyland.

Sadly, Greyland speaks from years of experience and molestation by both her parents, who engaged in exactly these tactics in order to abuse her and other children. Consider that Planned Parenthood is willing to arrest any parent who objects to the sexual grooming of their children. (Where are we--Sodom? Give us your children for sexual gratification, or else!)

Anyone who thinks giving graphic information about sex leads to healthy kids needs to read The Last Closet and hear the stories of many of the children who endured this "education." American parents have had enough of this fringe, sexual perversion being foisted on their kids and are standing up to Planned Parenthood and public schools this month. Join the nationwide #SexEdSitOut campaign coming up on April 23 in a city near you. Your children are not sex toys.

Jennifer I think they wrote this one for you.
When I read your post it flashed me back to this song.

We are here to cleanse humanity, thankyou Jennifer for being a Shepherd.

Glad you are a Shepherd my dear.

The Kinks - Shepherds of the Nation Lyrics

Listen while you read!
Down with sex and sin
Down with pot, heroin
Down with pornography
Down with lust
Down with vice lechery and debauchery

We are the new centurians
Shepherds of the nations
We'll keep on our guard
For sin and degradation

We are the national guard
Against filth and depravity
Perversion and vulgarity
Homosexuality
Keep it clean

Down with nudity
Breasts that are bare and pubic hair
We are here to cleanse humanity
From the man in the raincoat's
Pale faced glare
So sodomites beware

We are the new centurians
Shepherds of the nation
We'll keep on our guard
For sin and degradation

We are the national, guard
Against filth and depravity
Perversion and vulgarity
Homosexuality
Keep it clean

I visualise a day when people will be free
From evils like perversion and pornography
We'll cast out Satan and we'll set the sinners free
So people of the nation unite

Put all the pervs in jail
Bring back the birch, and the cat of nine tails
Bring back corporal punishment
Bring back the stocks
And the axeman's block
Let righteousness prevail

Down with nudity and hard core magazines
We'll bring religion back
And keep our country clean
Keep it clean

We are the new centurians
Shepherds of the nation
We'll keep on our guard
For sin and degradation

We are the national guard
Against filth and depravity
Perversion and vulgarity
Homosexuality
Keep it clean
Keep it clean

You can stop with the 'Local School Board' mantra because the Public Schools are Government Schools. State and National Government Schools.

Number 1 - Sex Education Curriculum is the Get Real Program from Planned Parenthood.

[sexedsitout.com]

Number 2 - Yes, local school boards have a little power, but mostly State and National Government controls the local schools. The Federal Government took over the schools long ago. Ever hear of The Department of Education, No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top, Common Core. Also look up The Gates Foundation.

The Federal Takeover of Education: From LBJ to Common Core

The Origins: LBJ’s Great Society

Modern education was built on the secular-humanist philosophy of the Enlightenment.

Pedagogues such as Johann Pestalozzi, Johann Herbart, and Friedrich Froebel sought to sever education from any external authority, especially religious authority and Divine law. They disdained the wholesome influence of tradition, Christian culture and the family on child development, and rejected the Christian understanding of education as a means to instill virtue and truth in unique souls created in the image and likeness of God.

Education became a useful tool to create workers to fill factories, and form the egalitarian masses in the new “democratic” society.

Horace Mann and other 19th century pedagogues fought to centralize control over education and place it in the hands of the all-powerful secular state. John Dewey and his disciples conceived of education as an indispensable tool for the builders of American socialism.

These evil ideas did not remain stagnant in the lecture halls of liberal universities. By the middle of the 20th century, the United States government began to play a central role in shaping the American education system in accordance with these ideas. At first, government involvement was small and innocuous enough. But as the years and decades passed, the State wielded its financial and political clout to impose ever more socialist schemes on unwilling states and school districts.

The baby steps of this long walk were taken by President Lyndon Johnson as part of his so-called “Great Society” government programs. In 1965, Congress passed the Elementary and Secondary Education Assistance Act (ESEA) which among other things funneled billions of dollars of federal funding to public schools across the country. Between 1966 and 2006, approximately $315.1 billion dollars were spent on K-12 public schools, accounting for nearly 10% of the expenditure of local school districts’ budgets.

In 1979 President Jimmy Carter greatly expanded federal oversight into local education by creating the Department of Education. Although conservatives vowed to abolish it during the Reagan administration, it only continued to grow in budget and power.

President George H. W. Bush gave a big boost to federal oversight in 1992 when his secretary of education Lamar Alexander created a plan called “America 2000” which included nationwide uniform academic standards and testing. Although it never passed Congress, “America 2000” gave impetus to the education reform movement in the 1990s and contained many of the ideas that would later be incorporated into Common Core.

In 1993, President Clinton’s submitted his “Goals 2000: Educate America Act” – his very first legislative proposal – closely modeled on “America 2000.” It included a provision to create a new federal entity called National Education Standards and Improvement Council (NESIC) which would recommend “voluntary” state and federal standards and promise money to the states for compliance with those standards.

In 2001 President George W. Bush – with the close support of the late Senator Ted Kennedy – signed into law the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLcool smiley. It was the largest expansion of federal oversight into education up until that time. NCLB set a goal that by 2014, 100% of all K-12 students would be proficient in reading and math. Most importantly, it required states to prove that they were making so-called “adequate yearly progress” toward this goal. If a state, school district, or individual school could not prove it was making “adequate yearly progress” it would face a series of penalties, including a cut in federal funding.

Rather than improve their teaching methods or remove underperforming teachers, many states essentially cheated the system by deliberately dumbing down their own standardized tests, thereby raising the test scores. Many states observed an increase in cheating, as school and teacher performance were tied more than ever to test scores. Nearly all observers admit that NCLB failed to achieve its stated goals.

“Never Let A Good Crisis Go To Waste”

NCLB’s failure, however, certainly did not dampen the enthusiasm of America’s education reformers. On the contrary, when President Obama was elected in 2008, they were ready to make the great leap forward on the path to educational reform with the Common Core State Standards Initiative.

Officially, Common Core is a set of “standards” that define what K-12 students are expected to know at the end of each grade. They were written between 2007 and 2009 by three Washington, D.C.-based non-profits: the National Governors Association (NGA), the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), and Achieve, Inc. Although they have high-sounding names, these private, non-profit organizations have an agenda.

As of April 2015, there are standards for two subjects, Math and English, and for all grades from Kindergarten to twelfth grade.
In 2008, while Common Core was under development, our country found itself in the midst of a major economic downturn. Every state was suffering major tax revenue shortfalls and was forced to drastically cut back on education spending.

Education “reformers” seized this opportunity to impose Common Core.

Past education schemes were imposed in a top-down fashion, such as an Act of Congress or multiple laws passed through each individual state legislature. Such a method is generally “messy.” But Common Core was done in such a way that it appeared to be originating at the state level without obvious federal backing, thereby sidestepping messy, high profile congressional debates and media coverage.

Included in the $831 billion stimulus package of 2009 was a program called “Race to the Top.” This program established a competition between cash-strapped states for $4.3 billion in education grants. For a state to win a grant, it had to implement certain policies:
1. Adopt “a set of content standards…that are substantially identical across all States in a consortium.” Common Core was the only program that matched this requirement.

2. Transfer state control over testing to an inter-state, federally funded testing consortium. There are two of these consortia: PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) or SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium).

3. Set up a database that would collect information about students in more than 400 different data points and make sure this database is interoperable with every other state database.

To sweeten the pot, “Race to the Top” grants also included waivers to the NCLB “adequate yearly progress” requirements which states were finding increasingly difficult to meet.

The Common Core Standards were published on June 2, 2010. The due date for states to submit their applications for “Race to the Top” grants was August 2, 2010. Therefore, to receive a grant, a state had one month to evaluate and test the Standards, a clearly impossible task.

In the end, 46 states, the District of Columbia, and every territory except Puerto Rico jumped headfirst into Common Core without even assessing it. Only four states, Alaska, Nebraska, Texas, and Virginia refused. Minnesota adopted the Common Core English standards, but not the math standards.

Many of the states adopted Common Core not through their respective legislatures but through their state boards of education. In Wisconsin, only one man, the Superintendent of Education, made the decision for the whole state to adopt it. The education revolutionaries were hoping that Americans, faced with a fait accompli, would acquiesce to Common Core without a fight.

[education-curriculum-reform-government-schools.org]

Government funds local schools and to receive government funding government schools have to comply with the Federal Government.

Who Decides What is Taught in Our Schools?

"The fundamental question that has been presented to all of us through the Common Core process is this one: Who decides what is taught in our schools? I first started thinking seriously about national education policy when No Child Left Behind became law.

Now we have Common Core, and a whole system of tests and curriculum aligned to it, and very clearly teachers were NOT at the table when the key decisions were made.

The "deciders" in the Common Core process were those who set the process in motion at the Gates Foundation and Department of Education, and the testing companies who were involved in crafting the standards so they would be testable."

*******
Local, or National?

Throughout the history of American education, a student’s need for the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic has been obvious and a concentration of the accepted curriculum. But, our national curriculum was not always nationally shaped. In the past, before America's school system operated under national oversight, teachers traveled from town to town and worked on a freelance basis for a few weeks. Without oversight, the teacher taught as he/she saw fit.

Modern strides in science have made staples of classes focused on branches of biology, computer science and advanced mathematics, especially for students thinking of attending a university and going into fields requiring further academically-advanced skill sets. Elective studies, often geared towards the arts, have a tendency to receive funding based on availability, rather than out of necessity. "Funding for the visual arts, music, theater and dance are losing ground across the country due to a ballooning deficit and legislation that caters to standardized testing...Compliance with the No Child Left Behind Act, which makes teaching to standardized testing regulatory, is being cited by some in the education field as the main reason why arts funding is on the chopping block as the first sacrifice to be made (Harbaugh)." So, we recognize nationally that there are basic classes needing to be taught, and that others are not always necessary in order to lead a successful life. These cut classes have been classified as optional when funding runs low, and when well-intentioned acts, such as No Child Left Behind, place emphasis on instilling the fundamentals of modern education. In turn, national philosophies are not able to always satisfy local and personal needs, therefore curriculum should be drafted with some insight.

One study determined that nationally-controlled educational systems have teachers who are “more likely to teach the same mathematics curriculum as teachers in educational systems with local control (Stevenson/Baker, 1)." This, as we’ve examined, means that we seem to have a national understanding regarding the importance of core education. The study goes on to show a disparity, stating that, “when the control of curricular issues is at the national level, the amount of the mathematics curriculum that is taught is generally not related to the characteristics of the teachers of the students, whereas in educational systems with local control, it is related to teachers’ and students’ characteristics (Stevenson/Baker, 1)." Locally controlled bodies draft culturally-influenced curricula, while still teaching alongside national regulations. This is an important factor when considering the amount of authority that should be placed on national boards, versus local decision making boards.

Who determines content?

Who decides what is taught? "In the U.S., each state, with the individual school districts, establishes the curricula taught. Each state, however, builds its curriculum with great participation of national academic subject groups selected by the United States Department of Education (Wikipedia)." It’s a team effort, but the debate involves determining which body should have the heaviest hand in the final decision making process, regarding what should be offered.

Federal Authority

As stated above, the federal government has historically played a minor role in education, and in fact, the federal government did not issue any educational policy until the 1960s. The National Science Foundation published a report studying which educational techniques were effective that the Johnson administration used in its "Great Society" program. Federal involvement in education has only increased since then.

Every Student Succeeds Act

The federal government also influences education by allocating funding only to those school districts that follow certain federal guidelines. Roughly three percent of the federal budget is spent on education as of 2017 - a small proportion, of course, but in many years this amounts to billions of dollars. Most of this money goes toward assistance programs for children with disabilities. The rest of the money is distributed to school districts under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

The federal government plays a role in evaluating each school district by administering the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NEAP), also known as the Nation's Report Card. Finally, federal agencies such as the National Science Foundation and the Department of Education publish recommended teaching strategies and materials. States and local governments are free to adopt or ignore these recommendations as they see fit, although no funding will be awarded if the school district adopts these recommended practices.

State Authority

The states are the entities primarily responsible for the maintenance and operation of public schools. The states are also heavily involved in the establishment, selection, and regulation of curriculum, teaching methods, and instructional materials in their schools. Consequently, each state has different standards and policies which may impact the quality of education offered.

Each state's constitution requires it to provide a school system where children may receive an education. Many state constitutions also contain express provisions for creating educational curricula. Some state constitutions even empower state authorities to select textbooks and educational materials. Besides constitutional authority, state governments also have authority to legislate in this area, or they can authorize officials to establish, select, and regulate curriculum.

State legislatures have also set mandatory requirements for students to graduate. In cases where state rules and regulations for courses do exist, they must be followed. Local school districts may, however, offer courses and activities in the instructional program beyond those required by state statute. Other states delegate more of their authority. They usually prescribe a model curriculum framework, allowing local authorities to develop their own curricula based on the general state goals.

Jennifer I think they wrote this one for you.
When I read your post it flashed me back to this song.

We are here to cleanse humanity, thankyou Jennifer for being a Shepherd.

Glad you are a Shepherd my dear.

So you have no problem with the Sex Education curriculum and the sexuality that is being taught to children as young as kindergarten age?

ps Govt control school systems unfounded paranoia again.

Whats the point of lie govt controlling schools?

No, not a lie as I posted below - public schools are state-funded and state-run.

LOCAL SCHOOL BOARDS are not agents of the Govt my dear, maybe some libs, but no agents on county level sorry.

They are elected or appointed, Not Big Brother placement sorry to blow your fantasy bubble of Big Govt Conspiracys.

So the Local School Boards are elected or appointed local people. So what. I'm talking about the federal and state government controlling the curriculum, what is taught to the students.

And the Local School Boards do not control the curriculum, textbooks, tests, whatever. These are their duties -

************

SCHOOL BOARDS:

TOP 10 RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Determine school's mission and purpose

2. Select the head of school

3. Support the head and assess performance

4. Ensure effective organizational planning

5. Ensure adequate resources

6. Assure effective management of resources

7. Determine, monitor, and strengthen school's programs and services

8. Enhance school's public standing

9. Ensure legal and ethical integrity, maintaining accountability

10. Recruit and orient new board members; assess board performance

Its time for a walk around the block for you

Time for you to discuss this and other topics with a tad more civility.

We are here to cleanse humanity
From the man in the raincoat's

So sodomites beware

We are the new centurians
Shepherds of the nation

From evils like perversion and pornography
We'll cast out Satan and we'll set the sinners free
So people of the nation unite

Put all the pervs in jail

Bring back corporal punishment
Bring back the stocks
And the axeman's block
Let righteousness prevail

This post is where I provide an article that details how the National/Federal Government is continuing to take over the Public School System. I guess you missed it -

(BTW, in Liberal Canada, many providences are getting rid of Local School Boards; that will be coming here if the libs get their way)

Everyone who works in the Public School System is an employee of the Government, a Government Employee, either the Local Government or State Government.

Local School Boards do not work for the Government, they are elected by the Voters. But Local School Boards do not control the curriculum (except for making little decisions like which Government Mandated Textbook to use or which Government Mandated books are available in the library, or which Government Mandated (Common Core) Test to administer, etc.) the Local and State Government do so, in compliance with the Federal Government.

That's why public schools are called Government Schools - they are controlled by the Government, either Local or State.

***********

Local School Boards make little decisions like what time to lock the bathroom doors and such.

"Assigned responsibilities to school boards in areas such as:

Setting the curricula and courses taught in the schools. (In compliance with State and Federal Government Agenda)

Employing a superintendent, other administrators, teachers and support personnel.

Levying local taxes to run the schools and adopting a budget.

Deciding whether or not to furnish transportation for pupils.

Negotiating with employee unions regarding salaries and other conditions of employment."

That's some of the mundane responsiblities of local school boards.

Here is an Example of New Hampshire's Powers of a school board, What they can and cant do.
Many other states have same school board rights!

Reading New Hampshire's school board Law's will show you the people hold the court. Not Govt Re-Education Regrooving

What are New Hampshire's Requirements for Family and Community Involvement in schools?
Ed Rule 306: Standards for School Approval
306.04 (a) The local school board shall adopt and implement written policies and procedures relative to:
(11) Promotion of a school environment that is conducive to learning and supports strong family and community partnerships.
(k) The policy relative to partnerships among schools, families, and communities shall comply with the following standards:
(1) Schools shall strive to involve parents and family members of all ages and grade levels.
(2) Schools shall strive to provide parent educational activities throughout the school year to help parents support their children's learning.
(3) Schools shall frequently communicate school performance, student progress, personalized learning strategies as adopted by the local school board, and academic opportunities, using both print and online formats.
(4) Schools shall work with agencies and businesses to support community based developmental activities that prepare young children for school, promoting ongoing achievement.
(5) Schools shall promote collaboration among parents, schools, and community on school improvement and student achievement projects.
(6) Schools shall strive to harness all available community resources, including but not limited to organizations, businesses, talented individuals, natural resources and technology, to engage each student in achieving the necessary skills and knowledge, and
(7) Schools shall encourage business partnerships to assist students in the successful transition to employment or further education.
Federal Public Law 108-265 requires that schools establish a wellness policy which will encourage the school community to provide a healthier school environment. A parent must be a member of this team. Parents may contact their school or find out who represents parents on the wellness committee. Parents may also go the USDA Child Nutrition Web site.
The Child Nutrition Programs also require that school food service annually incorporate parents and the community at large into the program plans and activities. The federal citation is 7CFR Part 210.12. To find out what parent involvement plans you can get involved with, contact your local Food Service Director.
What are some best practices related to Family and Community Involvement in schools?
Effective parent involvement programs include activities that are addressed by the following National PTA Parent and Community Standards:
Collaborating with community - Community resources are used to strengthen schools, families and student learning.
Communicating - Communication between home and school is regular, two-way, and meaningful.
Parenting - Parenting skills are promoted and supported.
School decision making and advocacy - Parents are full partners in the decisions that affect children and families.
Student Learning - Parents play an integral role in assisting student learning.
Volunteering - Parents are welcome in the school, and their support and assistance are sought.
I'm a parent. Where do I go for parent information and resources about Family and Community Involvements in school?
New Hampshire Department of Education - Families and Communities provides information and resources for parents and families.
New Hampshire Children's Alliance - This is a children's policy and advocacy organization that provides information on child well being, stimulates dialog on children's issues, and promotes accountability and action.
Family Involvement Network of Educators (FINE) - This is a Harvard Family Research Project national network of over 5,000 people interested in promoting strong partnerships between children's educators, their families, and their communities.
National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education - Advocates the involvement of parents and families in their children's education, and fosters relationships between home, school, and community to enhance the education of all our nations' young people.
National PTA - This is a resource for parents that offers useful information to many thousands of parents just like you. PTA provides the resources and support you need to stay involved in the life of your child every day.

6th Graders Receive 'Gay Bar' Questionnaire at Texas School

Birdville ISD says it has disciplined a teacher for handing out a questionnaire to sixth grade students that asked them to rank their level of comfort with people of different races, ethnicities and sexual orientation.

A Texas school district said it has disciplined a teacher for handing out a questionnaire to sixth grade students that asked them to rank their level of comfort with people of different races, ethnicities and sexual orientation.

The "How Comfortable Am I" questionnaire was distributed to one class at North Richland Middle School on February 7.

Ashley Brent said she was shocked when her 12-year-old son came home and showed her the questionnaire.

“I wasn’t ready for my son to be exposed to these type of things," Brent said.

The assignment follows a list of 41 scenarios that asks students to rank how comfortable they are with each, ranging from 1 "not comfortable at all" to 4 "completely comfortable."

The assignment includes statements like "a friend invites you to a gay bar" and "your sister invites her new boyfriend to dinner. He is a female-to-male transsexual."

"Her giving this out without the consent of the parents, it's unbelievable," Brent said. (No, it's standard procedure)

Birdville ISD told KHOU sister station WFAA in a statement the survey was not developed or distributed by the district.

"We agree the survey was not appropriate and disciplinary action was taken," spokesman Mark Thomas said.

The district would not elaborate on the discipline administered, citing personnel matters.

A middle school teacher in Florida was fired in 2017 for presenting the same questionnaire to students there.

A teacher asked kids ‘how comfortable’ they are around black men, Muslims. She was fired.

Many of the questions appear to have been lifted from a book titled “Exploring White Privilege” by Robert P. Amico, a philosophy professor at a private and Catholic University in New York. An examination of the previewed pages of the book on Amazon.com revealed that an almost similar survey, with the same rating scale that the teacher gave her students, was included in its Appendix portion.

The assignment begins with the title, “How Comfortable Am I?” Then follows a list of 41 scenarios that students at Fox Chapel Middle School in Spring Hill, Fla., are asked to rate based on how comfortable or uncomfortable those situations make them feel. One means “not comfortable at all” and 4 is “completely comfortable.”

A few items on the list focused on specific ethnic and religious groups:

“Your new roommate is a Palestinian and Muslim.”
“A group of young Black men are walking toward you on the street.”
“The young man sitting next to you on the airplane is an Arab.”
“You new suite mates are Mexican.”
“You assigned lab partner is a fundamentalist Christian.”
A portion of the assignment that a Florida middle school teacher gave to her students. (Hernando County School District)
The others involved people of different genders and socio-economic backgrounds:

“Your two next door neighbors in your hall are lesbian/gay.”
“You discover that the cute young man/woman that you are attracted to is actually a woman/man.”
“Your brother’s new girlfriend is a single mother on welfare.”
“Your mother ‘comes out’ to you.”

A spokesman for the Hernando County School District said the survey was a supplemental assignment that the teacher gave the students. The teacher was fired last week, a few days after she gave the assignment to students. School officials did not release the teacher’s name, but said she was hired in January and was still on her probationary period.

“In no way does this assignment meet the standards of appropriate instructional material,” Patrick Keough, district spokesman, said in a statement.

Tori Drews, a 12-year-old who was one of the students given the assignment, told ABC affiliate WFTS that the teacher told them that the purpose of the survey was to learn about accepting people from different backgrounds. But the sixth grader didn’t think the assignment would achieve that purpose.

“I thought some of them were racist. I thought some of them were sexist. I thought it was completely intolerable,” Tori said.

Her mother also was outraged.

“How comfy are you if you see a group of black men walking to you on the street? That’s completely inappropriate,” Jennifer Block told WFTS. “In no world, whatsoever, is that okay to question a child on.”

Here is the actual questionnaire itself -

MEANWHILE, Jennifer stays glued to Fox News "media" and wastes her precious moments of LIFE on utter nonsense. Her days pass by filled with politics, while OUTSIDE LIFE is taking place and she doesn't participate, a tragic passing in a self-imposed prison till a tragic ending...

I'm seeing plenty of wildlife! Yesterday morning INSIDE my house, I saw a huge BUMBLEBEE walking across the floor beside the couch where I was lounging watching the Sunday Talking Heads shows - all about Stormy Daniels and Rudy Giulliani - and today I saw a bunch of LADYBUGS and a STINKBUG around the window while I was glued to the TV watching Fox News 24/7, and during the commercial when I went into the kitchen to make my smoothie, I saw a lot of big ANTS crawling around the kitchen because I left a BIG TIN CAN - kinda like your RV - on the countertop.

This is what our Public Schools have devolved to -

WATCH: Student Allegedly Assaults Teacher For Taking His Phone

On Tuesday, a student at Cedar Hill High School in Texas appeared to assault physics teacher Bobby Soehnge during class after Soehnge took his phone away.

The student in the video can be seen "knocking papers off a teachers desk, cursing and then shoving the teacher's face," WFAA reported.

The video — which was uploaded to Facebook by Chris Hunt, whose daughter attends the school — sparked outrage as it went viral on the social media platform.

"Give me my f**king phone. This is the last time asking your stupid ass," the teen yelled at the teacher before shoving his face. "Give me my damn phone."

The teacher gave in and gave the student his phone back.

"I was shocked to see such egregious behavior," said principal Michael McDonald. "That’s not something we condone."

WFAA reported that the school district said, without giving exact details, that they disciplined the student, although the incident did not end in a predictable manner.

"[The teacher] actually met with the student after the class, they talked, they hugged," said McDonald. "He spent a lot of time working with the student through the course of the year. They have a great relationship and that was just a bad day the student was having." (Sure it was)

(Watch the Video)

(Read the comments - shocking that the Lib Culture has brought us to this behavior in our classrooms.)

Yes devolved punk student, and the stupid teacher cop who thinks you can take someones property,
why did she not just order phone out of class with student instead of taking his phone.

Did she take phone by force?

New lows on all fronts we keep breaking records doing the limbo rock.
