Charlottesville has its boogeymen and it’s not letting go

This weekend marks the one year anniversary of the police stand down that led to the Antifa riot and the death of Heather Heyer last August in Charlottesville. Hundreds rallied yesterday, with more expected today. On Wednesday, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and the City of Charlottesville declared a preemptive state of emergency, and released the details for a locked down security zone around the downtown mall.

The city has banned a long list of items considered to be an “Implement of Riot,” and police officials have promised a heavy presence to deter violence. In addition, the Virginia National Guard has been authorized to assist in security efforts. And, lastly, for the general safety of the public, the city is closing roads, recreation parks, and the local recycling center for the weekend.

One mile from downtown, the University of Virginia (UVA) will be closing The Lawn for a tickets only solidarity event in front of Thomas Jefferson’s Rotunda, and various other campaigns and events have been sponsored around the city for spiritual reflection and unity (here, here, and here.) All of which, of course, are aimed at coming together to “resist” hate and Nazis and white supremacists in America.

On Tuesday, new UVA President James E. Ryan released an open letter to the University community. Therein, he committed UVA to the safety and security of everyone on University grounds. His letter began,

“As we approach the anniversary of the neo-Nazi and white supremacist marches last August…”

But, wait a minute, hold on…. Strangely enough, the police have not released any warnings of credible threats to the public, or of any neo-Nazi white supremacist plans to assemble in Charlottesville. Unite The Right, the legal permit holders who were driven from the public square in last year’s Antifa riot in Charlottesville, will be two hours away in Lafayette Park across from the White House. Nevertheless, the city has geared up for a shutdown, and some residents are comparing it to martial law. The city has a new police chief, and she’s determined not to have a repeat of last summer’s riot, even if there is no evidence of a coming conflict.

On the other hand, “regular crime” is widespread in Charlottesville, and it’s not caused by neo-Nazis and white supremacists. In their homes and businesses, residents are high on diversity and inclusion and “We’re glad you are our neighbor” signs. But, in the streets, it’s the relatives and neighbors of the diversity and inclusion crowd who are committing the crime. Or, quelle horreur, maybe it’s the diversity crowd itself committing the crime!

This anecdotal list is meant to show that Charlottesville has it all: murders, shootings, stabbings, rapes, robberies, assaults, drugs, abductions, sex trafficking, and gangs.

The month-to-month crime blotter has a level of violence all its own, yet the Charlottesville propaganda machine would have you believe that Nazis and white supremacists are the biggest threats to the city. On a monthly basis, there are dead and wounded all around the city, but you can’t constantly have solidarity events and unity concerts for the monthly crime roll of shootings, stabbings, assaults, rapes, and robberies.

For that, you need a really bad boogeyman. And that’s why the Charlottesville propagandists need their Nazis. The threat of a hypothetical Nazi invasion will get you a city wide shut down, unity meetings for introspection and reflection, and re-education camps to promote the cultural Marxist mainline. It’s so much easier to hate the Nazis than it is to maintain a safe city throughout the year.

So here we are in the Charlottesville security zone of August 2018. The city is awash in surveillance cameras and there will be 700 state troopers in town for the weekend, and by golly it’s all because of the Nazis. But that doesn’t matter. There will be plenty of unity forums to attend, and discussions of implicit bias, and meetings for solidarity. Why, this weekend should just be a jolly time in the bubble - but don’t stray outside the bubble, or you might get shot by your diverse neighbor.

Charlottesville: A Clash of Left vs. Left?

On August 12, 2017, a free speech rally arrived in Charlottesville to stop the removal of the statue commemorating Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Then a group of Neo-Nazis, white knights, alt-right trolls, white nationalists, and other white supremacists showed up. They wanted to protect the statue, albeit for different reasons. Then to counter-protest the white (not “Right”) supremacists, the violent left-wing Antifa hordes with their Black Bloc goons crashed the protest, and all hell broke loose.

With protesters fighting to pulverize or protect the statue of a general who had headed one side of the American Civil War, another civil war broke out. Or at least it seemed that way. The media played up this fight as a microcosm of the political paroxysm overtaking the United States, and that it was President Trump’s fault. However, a grand total of 100 tiki-torchers had marched the previous night, and then a grand total of 600 extremist rioters had showed up the next day.

The (left-wing) mainstream media hyped up this violent clash as a battle between white supremacists on the Right against the anti-fascist Left. Wrong. Both sides are different variants of the political Left. It’s common knowledge that Antifa is as fascist as it gets, using violence and repression to advance their anti-nation, anti-liberty, anti-American agenda. It’s not as well-known that alt-right protesters are actually left-wing agitators, too.

One of the rally’s keynote speakers, Richard Spencer, the godfather of the “Alt-Right”, despises the founding principles of our country, including limited government, individual liberty, and the divine origin of natural rights. Dinesh D’Souza’s documentary “Death of a Nation” brilliantly presented in one interview with Spencer what the founder of the Alt-Right movement has expounded on for years. He is a left-wing statist invested in the ultimate authority of the state, socialized medicine, and the nationalization of public lands. He is a national socialist, but a socialist nonetheless. Jason Kessler organized this “Unite the Right” rally, but he’s actually another left-winger. He voted for Barack Obama.He participated heavily in the Occupy Wall Street Movementand once touted himself as a liberal organizer. The reports of Kessler's left-wing leanings came out within days of the Charlottesville clash last year, but few actually read about it.

This fight between national and international socialists has emerged before. The Spanish Civil War, from 1936 to 1939, served as a dress rehearsal for the Second World War. The Falangists (national socialists) headed by Francisco Franco rebelled against the Spanish Republic, which compromised socialists and communists. (Think “People’s Republic of China”, and you get the idea). Hitler and Mussolini supported the Falangists. The Soviet Union backed the Spanish Republicans. Both sides were composed of socialists, invested in ideas inimical to America’s founding ideals. There were no good guys, but rather a bloody war of national vs. international statism in Spain, nothing more, a clash of ideologies similar to what happened in Charlottesville

What’s going on, though, in the grander scheme? Why the ongoing confusion about left, right, and the mislabeling of different political groups as we witnessed in the tragic violence of Charlottesville?

From grade school to daily news bulletins, our minds are led to see conflicts, political discussions, and even wars as a fight between left and right. This paradigm originates with the French Revolution. During the first sessions of France’s aborted First Republic, the Jacobin radicals sat on the left, and the supporters of the Ancien Regime(the older royal, aristocratic order) sat on the right. Their conflicts focused on who would rule: a king or a collective? The collective won, and with it the tyranny of the Guillotine, relentless riots, and foreign wars. Don’t get me wrong—the French people had every right to rise against royal autocracy which was bankrupting and starving them. But the “cure” proved worse than the disease for the next 80 years until a constitutional republic was established.

The two sides of that political fight did not really discuss the proper (as in smaller) size or scope of the state. Instead, the two ideologies of the partisan divide basically retained a large bureaucratic state, welfarism, subsidies, high taxes and fees as the norm. Individual liberty, limited government, and constitutional rule did not factor into the French Revolution’s initial political reforms. However, those on the Left wanted an absolute reduction of differences, equality at all costs. Consider that Robespierre and his blood-thirsty cronies wanted to abolish all hierarchies and bring everyone under the General Will of the State. The right, whether autocratic of constitutionalist, has never viewed the government as the final end of man.

The media, the Democratic Party (the true home of racist, socialist policies, whether national or international), and left-wing academics and pundits are desperate to preserve the lie that these white supremacists are a central part of President Trump’s entourage, the core of the Republican Party in particular, and the motives of American conservatism in general. It’s a brazen fraud.

President Trump condemned the violence on both sides last year. He was right to do so, because there WAS violence on both sides, and predictably so. Socialism (national or international) is invested in and defined by force, the use of violence to accomplish its ends. Whereas previous Presidents from both parties would only disparage the violence on the so-called right, President Trump also denounced Antifa, or the Alt-Left, for their violent behavior.

Now it’s time to denounce the Alt-Right for what they are: small, obsessed with identity politics, racist, or more accurately racialist, establishing race as the foundation of everything in culture and community. They are adamant atheists and confirmed collectivists. The so-called “Alt-Right” is really just a pro-white response to the multicultural Left (special thanks to Michael Knowles and Dinesh D’Souza for these revelations). What happened at Charlottesville was not a clash between Left and Right, but Left and Left, between national socialists—specifically white nationalists—and global socialists and communists, nothing more.

Fascism, Socialism, and Communism are all Leftist variants of Collectivism/Statism - which means Libs love Government, all powerful Government, Government controlling everything and everybody. That's the Libs. That's why they want Government Daycare, Government Schools, Government college, Government Healthcare, Government jobs, Government Unions, Government Banking, Government Welfare, Government Living Wage, Government Regulations on everything, Government Everything, More Higher Government Taxes, Government taking all our guns, Government Censorship, Government control of everything and everybody.

Don't forget that Obama took control of GM, banking, and healthcare insurance - textbook fascism.

The left has, for many years, accepted/embraced violence in support of its position, so when people on the left and people with a different point of view confront one another and violence ensues, those on the left are immediately assumed to be the good guys despite the circumstances. What ANTIFA did in Charlottesville is no different than what angry mobs did in Ferguson and Baltimore, and we can always rely on the media to conveniently forget that Democrats were the original white supremacists and remained so even after Republicans ended slavery.

The "white nationalists" and "neo National Socialists" and the other assorted violent groups associated with them aren't on the RIGHT. They espouse anti-capitalist policies, and promote politics based on identity and race. These are LEFTISTS.

And the KKK were true-blue Democrats as well. The Left is engaged in a non-stop propaganda campaign to hide who they really are and to rewrite history to fit their political agenda.

It should be obvious that Hitler and Mussolini were socialist competitors of Stalin and Mao.

For those who wish to explore the subject in greater depth, a useful recent resource would be a book by an expert on Italian Fascism: "The Faces of Janus: Marxism and Fascism in the 20th Century", by A. James Gregor.

Gregor exhaustively demonstrates that Fascism and Nazism modeled their methods on the atheistic Marxism of Lenin and Stalin; and that the Fascist idea of adding nationalism to socialism was later taken up by Stalin and Mao — so that (in the end) Fascism and Communism were merely twin atheistic Marxist sects. Thus, during the era of their big confrontation, Soviet Russia and Maoist China were perfectly correct in accusing one-another of being “fascists.”

DINESH D’SOUZA: What I’m trying to do is to educate. And I’m actually trying to challenge the Democrat Left and draw them into a debate, which they are scared to do. But I do it not really just by arguments. I also do it in a sense through investigative journalism, and I’ll tell you what I mean. And this is a very valuable, important argument for the left because, think about it: The Democrat Party has been the party of slavery, of segregation, of Jim Crow, of racial terrorism, of the Ku Klux Klan, of opposing the Civil Rights movement. So what the left gets is a get-out-of-jail-free card because they’re able to say, “Yeah, but look at the white nationalists here right now! They’re wearing Trump hats.They are right-wingers,” It’s this elephant in the living room I actually crush in my movie, Death of a Nation.

Because I show — both in the book, the accompanying book and the movie, Death of a Nation — that these white nationalists have a deep history of left-wing Democrat activism. Jason Kessler, the organizer of the Charlottesville rally? Obama activist. Occupy Wall Street guy. Now how many Obama activists are white supremacists? Something is really fishy about this, and the Democrat Media knew about this but they covered it up. It was on the Southern Poverty Law Center website.

But the Democrat Media suppressed it because it was inconvenient to their narrative. They wanted to peg the white supremacist tail on the Republican elephant. In the movie, I have a riveting interview with the poster boy of white supremacy, Richard Spencer, and it becomes very clear in this interview that this guy is not only a left-winger, he’s on the far left. I mean, I asked him:

“Do you think all men are created equal?” “No.” “Do you think our rights come from God?” No. “Where do our rights come from?” “The state.” So this is a guy who wants an all-powerful state, and then I asked him, “What do you think of Reagan?” “Terrible president.” “Who are your favorite presidents?” One Democrat after another, starting with Andrew Jackson, and I go, “Well, these are Democrats.” He goes, “Well who cares about party labels?” “Andrew Jackson was the founder of the Democrat Party.”
