Florida voters elected Republican Ron DeSantis as governor and Republican Rick Scott as senator on election night. Both were announced as winners and Desantis’ opponent conceded defeat. But then Democratic lawyer Marc Elias announced that Democrats would be going for a recount and would win the Senate seat.

A few days after the 2018 election was held, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) sounded the alarm about serious irregularities in the counting of ballots in two Democratic stronghold counties in Florida:

To make sure that votes aren’t being invented or destroyed to effect an outcome, one of the first priorities of any election supervisor is to announce how many ballots are in possession and how many remain to be counted. To fail to do this, as the Broward County and Palm Beach County Supervisors had, is to open themselves up to the accusation of massive vote fraud.

Citizens can not have confidence that ballots are not being destroyed, or created, when supervisors fail to immediately announce how many ballots are on hand.

Florida law also requires that vote-by-mail and absentee ballots are accounted for within 30 minutes of polls closing. While the other 65 counties in Florida had no problem following this state law, the supervisors of Broward County and Palm Beach County refused to follow that law.

Florida law also requires that the Department of State be given reports every 45 minutes until results are completely filed. Palm Beach County has refused to do this.

Despite these stunning violations of law, and Rubio’s cry to stop the madness in these counties that have a history of election problems, media seemed largely uninterested in what was happening in Florida.

Rubio reminded Americans that Broward County’s supervisor had a history of election problems, including illegally destroying ballots, secretly opening mail-in ballots, sending voters too many ballot pages, and leaving a constitutional question off the ballot.

Because to the naked eye, this is nothing but pure gaslighting about the obvious efforts of two of the most historically scandal-ridden counties in the country when it comes to elections and voting.

It is without question that lawful processes were not followed. To say otherwise is scandalous and insulting to the intelligence of most people. Everyone knows what is going on here and to say that there is no evidence, when evidence is obvious to everyone, including those who are pretending it isn’t there, is offensive.

A media that were something other than the communications leaders of the progressive movement would note that Palm Beach County is violating Florida law by refusing to provide required information to the public, and by illegally refusing to allow officials into the ballot counting area to observe what is occurring.

But the response to election officials shutting out any public accountability has been to scream that those upset about it are insane and making allegations without evidence.

The country is more than two-and-a-half years into an effort by the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee to create a false narrative of treasonous collusion with Russia to steal an election. While Russia has decades of practice of election meddling — along with many other countries — the narrative was used to undermine the Trump administration, sideline senior officials, spy on campaign operatives, and otherwise violate norms of the republic.

Our media completely believe without evidence that Donald Trump engaged in a 30-year conspiracy with Russia to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton, but have complete confidence in an election supervisor who earlier this year was found by Florida courts to have illegally hidden and destroyed ballots.

If democracy dies in darkness, then it might be time to read the last rites for legitimate elections in Florida.

Democrats in Florida Reportedly Tried to ‘Fix’ Ballots Across the State After Deadline

It seems clear at this point that Democrats in Florida were not going to accept defeat in the 2018 midterms and were prepared to do whatever it takes to win, including fraud. In multiple counties, an effort has been underway to “fix” certain mail ballots in the hope that they could turn the tide after the fact.

Try to imagine the media’s reaction if Republicans were doing this.

Florida Democratic Party faces questions over vote by-mail signature match correction push

(CNN)Florida Democratic Party officials gave volunteers incorrect information to share with voters about the state's deadline for curing endangered vote-by-mail ballots that did not meet the state's signature match requirements, according to an email obtained by CNN.

The "curing" process requires voters to send sworn affidavits satisfying any issues with their ballots to the county boards by 5 p.m. on the day before the election. The deadline this year came on Monday, November 5.

But in a November 7 email obtained by CNN, Jennifer Kim, a field operative for the Florida Democratic Party, instructs phone bankers to tell voters who did not sign their ballots properly that the cut-off is not until November 8, which is three full days after the actual deadline.

"If needed FDP staff or volunteers should go pick up their affidavit and deliver it for them if they are not able to deliver by 5pm Thursday," Kim wrote.

The discovery of the emails comes on the heels of the Florida Secretary of State's announcement that it is asking the state's three U.S. Attorneys to investigate irregularities it discovered in four counties "as it relates to the vote-by-mail voting process."

The alleged irregularities in question had to do with the date on "cure affidavits," documents which are needed to fix a mail ballot applications. The instructions to return these ballots had, in the instances discovered, been altered to read Thursday, Nov. 8.

The state's request for a federal investigation appears to be the first time Florida elections officials have flagged specific potential criminal activity in last week's election. While altering these instructions would indeed be a violation of the law, the motivation behind doing so remains unclear.

It is not clear whether Kim, in the email, was intentionally spreading incorrect information or had been misinformed. CNN's multiple calls, emails and texts to party officials, including a spokeswoman and its executive director, asking for an explanation have gone unanswered.

On Thursday evening, a spokeswoman emailed CNN with a comment from Florida Democratic Party attorney Mark Herron.

"Upon receiving notice of the allegations that the form was incorrect, FDP took immediate steps, including hiring an independent investigator to review the issues at hand," Herron said. "As soon as we know the results of the investigation we will advise you."

Politico first reported concerns over altered documents.

Okaloosa County Supervisor of Elections Paul Lux was among the first to note that the date in a cure affidavit sent to his office had been altered.
"Please pass the word to the (Florida Democratic Party) that they can't arbitrarily add their own deadline to your form or (vote by mail) cures!!" Lux wrote to Florida Department of State officials in an email on November 9. "This is crazy!"

Lux provided CNN with a redacted version of the incorrect affidavit along with a copy of what the form is supposed to look like.

Lists of voters whose early ballots are not counted and in need of "curing" — or correcting — are made available to the public by Florida's 67 county election offices.

In her email to colleagues, Kim wrote, "These are people that submitted (votes by mail) before Election Day and did not sign them properly."
Before spelling out a list of steps, she added: "THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED TO THE LETTER."

The first two asked for volunteers to "have the affidavit form open on their computer" and then for them to "fill out the affidavit with all information except for the (voter's) signature."

The seventh and final step included the erroneous information.

Republicans have charged that Democrats purposely broke the law hoping to get more ballots into the counting pool in anticipation of a potential court ruling that might validate ballots that arrived past the deadline. They also called on Sen. Bill Nelson to demand the resignation of Florida Democratic Party Chair Terrie Rizzo.

"Bill Nelson can either stay silent and be in favor of organized fraud by the Democrat Party, or he can do the right thing and demand the immediate resignation of Florida's Democrat Party Chair," said Jackie Schutz Zeckman, Scott for Florida campaign manager.

CNN is continuing to seek further comment from the Florida Democratic Party.

Federal prosecutors reviewing altered election documents tied to Florida Democrats

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Department of State last week asked federal prosecutors to investigate dates that were changed on official state election documents, the first voting “irregularities” it has flagged in the wake of the 2018 elections.

The concerns, which the department says can be tied to the Florida Democratic Party, center around date changes on forms used to fix vote-by-mail ballots sent with incorrect or missing information. Known as “cure affidavits,” those documents used to fix mail ballots were due no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 5 — the day before the election. But affidavits released on Tuesday by the DOS show that documents from four different counties said the ballots could be returned by 5 p.m. on Thursday, which is not accurate.

Among the counties in question is Broward, which emerged as the epicenter of controversy as three statewide races and three local legislative races went into recounts following the Nov. 6 elections. Republicans have pointed to embattled Broward Elections chief Brenda Snipes' record of past election gaffes in arguing that the largely Democratic country is tilted against them — perhaps fraudulently so.

DOS officials have repeatedly told the media that the monitors they sent to Broward County saw no election fraud. It wasn't until Tuesday that the office revealed publicly that it had turned over information to federal prosecutors.

The information was sent on Nov. 9 by Bradley McVay, DOS’ interim general counsel, who asked that the altered dates be investigated.

“Altering a form in a manner that provides the incorrect date for a voter to cure a defect … imposes a burden on the voter significant enough to frustrate the voter’s ability to vote,” McVay wrote in a letter that was sent Nov. 9 and released publicly on Tuesday. The letter was sent to U.S. Attorneys Christopher P. Canova of the Northern District of Florida, Maria Chapa Lopez of the Middle District of Florida and Ariana Fajardo Orshan in the Southern District of Florida.

The records released by DOS, which is part of Gov. Rick Scott’s administration, point the finger at the Florida Democratic Party. Political parties can get daily lists of people who had their mail-in ballots rejected. Political parties — or anyone else — can also get the publicly available cure affidavits and send them to voters who had a mail-in ballot rejected to encourage them to fix the ballots.

In an email chain released as part of the Department of State's Tuesday document dump, Citrus County Supervisor of Elections Susan Gill last week told DOS officials that a voter who received one of the cure affidavits with the wrong date had also received a call from a number identified as the Tallahassee office of the Florida Democratic Party, an indication the party was reaching out about her vote by mail ballot.

"When I called it, it is the Democratic Party of Florida," she said in a Nov. 8 email to DOS officials.

She went on to write that she thinks the incorrect date was used because whoever sent the cure affidavit mixed up the deadline for cure affidavits with the deadline for provisional ballots. But, she said, "a bigger problem is the fact they actually changed one of the DOE forms."

That change to an official election form was what state officials turned over to federal prosecutors.

Another email included in the DOS document dump included correspondence from Okaloosa County Supervisor of Elections Paul Lux, who also said he believed the affidavits were from the Florida Democratic Party.

"Please pass the word to the FDP that they can't arbitrarily add their own deadline to your form or VBM cures!!" Lux emailed DOS officials on Nov. 9. "This is crazy!"

In a Tuesday interview with POLITICO, Lux said he received an email from someone sending a cure affidavit marked with the wrong date that included a Florida Democratic Party email address. The email does contain the email address votes@FloridaDems.org, which is associated with the party.

TALLAHASSEE – A day after Florida's election left top state races too close to call, a Democratic party leader directed staffers and volunteers to share altered election forms with voters to fix signature problems on absentee ballots after the state's deadline.

The altered forms surfaced in Broward, Santa Rosa, Citrus and Okaloosa counties and were reported to federal prosecutors to review for possible election fraud as Florida counties completed a required recount in three top races.

But an email obtained by the USA TODAY NETWORK - Florida shows that Florida Democrats were organizing a broader statewide effort beyond those counties to give voters the altered forms to fix improper absentee ballots after the Nov. 5 deadline. Democratic party leaders provided staffers with copies of a form, known as a "cure affidavit," that had been modified to include an inaccurate Nov. 8 deadline.

One Palm Beach Democratic activist said in an interview the idea was to have voters fix and submit as many absentee ballots as possible with the altered forms in hopes of later including them in vote totals if a judge ruled such ballots were allowed.

U.S. Chief Judge Mark Walker ruled Thursday that voters should have until Saturday to correct signatures on ballots, a move that could open the door for these ballots returned with altered forms to be counted. Republicans supporting Gov. Rick Scott, who leads U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson by less than 13,000 votes in the recount, appealed the ruling.

The Democratic Party email was sent before Nelson and his party allies filed a series of lawsuits challenging some voting rules that applied during the election, claiming they disenfranchised voters.

Jake Sanders, a Democratic consultant in the Treasure Coast who saw the email, told the USA TODAY NETWORK - Florida that he warned party staffers about the legality of using an altered form, but was ignored.

"I warned FDP staff members of the questionable legal status of altering a state form and misleading people their vote would be counted before the court case played out," Sanders said. "And coordinated campaign leadership told them to keep pushing it that, 'We are exhausting every possibility.'"

Sanders said the legality of use of the altered form was never discussed.

To Sanders, the party was not being upfront with voters and "undermining making sure every vote counts."

It is not clear how many altered forms were sent across the state, but Kim's email outlined a step-by-step process for volunteers and staffers to follow in order to get as many voters as possible to submit the altered form three days after the deadline.

The Department of State, which oversees elections, raised concerns about the altered forms, arguing that making changes to state forms is a criminal offense in Florida. The forms were forwarded on Nov, 9 to federal prosecutors.

Federal law defines election fraud to include preventing voters from participating in a federal election "through such tactics as disseminating false information" about the race, as outlined in an Oct. 25 letter to the state department by Assistant U.S. Attorney Harry C. Wallace in Miami.

“Making or using an altered form is a criminal offense under Florida law,” wrote Bradley McVay, the state department’s lawyer, when he referred the altered forms circulated in Broward and three other counties to federal prosecutors. “More fundamentally, altering a form in a manner that provides the incorrect date for a voter to cure a defect (or an incorrect method as it related to provisional ballots) imposes a burden on the voter significant enough to frustrate the voter’s ability to vote.”

Democrats are stealing the the election in Florida.

Since the election Broward County has mysteriously manufactured over 83,000 votes in Broward County and they refused to report how many more votes they have yet to count.

A judge last week found Broward County in violation of the Constitution and ordered Broward County Election Supervisor Brenda Snipes to allow ballot inspections immediately during an emergency hearing on Friday.

BUT SNIPES DID NOT TURN OVER THE BALLOTS ON FRIDAY NIGHT — She released numbers of Saturday.

And now a recount is taking place.

Republicans have already lost at least one race in Florida since election night.

Republican Matt Caldwell won his election for the state Agricultural Commissioner on Tuesday night.

When Matt went to bed on Tuesday he had won his race by 40,000 votes. But then after three days of vote manufacturing in Broward County Matt is suddenly down by 3,000 votes.

It’s too bad the Republican Party allowed this to happen.

On Wednesday morning Matt Caldwell joined FOX and Friends to discuss the ongoing corruption in Broward County.

Matt told the morning hosts it was not possible for there to be 83,000 new votes since Tuesday.

Matt Caldwell: We were up by 40,000 votes on Tuesday night. Based on what was reported there was only possibly 30,000 votes that could possibly still come in from Broward. So we declared victory, went to bed and over the next four days they found 80,000 ballots as you said.

Matt has a lawsuit against the Broward County DOE. It is unlikely he will change the results of this election.

Once again Republican leaders failed to see the threat of these criminal Democrats.

Florida teacher finds ‘provisional ballot box’ in storage area

A teacher in Florida found a container labeled “Provisional Ballot Box” in a storage area of her elementary school on Thursday.

Lakeisha Williams, of Broward County, said she discovered the ballot box two days after Election Day at Miramar Elementary School — where it was apparently left behind by election workers.

“I went into the area that we use for storage and saw it in there,” Williams told The Post.

Williams said she did not touch or look inside the box. Instead, she told the school’s principal and they decided to contact a local state representative.

“I don’t know where it is now,” Williams said, noting that all provisional ballots needed to be received by county officials before 5 p.m. Thursday.
