Marriage records confirm that Ilhan Omar filed for, but never used, a marriage license in 2002 to Ahmed A. Hirsi. Then in 2009, Omar legally married a man named Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. The Powerlineblog.com post suggests Elmi is Omar’s brother. Alpha News has not independently confirmed this allegation.



Omar’s campaign is refusing to answer questions about the allegations. The DFL Party is also remaining silent. “A number of baseless, absurd rumors that don’t bear repeating have been made recently about my personal life and family. Let me be clear: they are categorically false,” Omar released in a prepared statement.

On Wednesday morning, Alpha News received an anonymous tip of it’s own.

An individual who identified themselves as part of the Somali Community pointed Alpha News towards a Secretary of State Office filing for One to One Cafe’ Lounge.

You can see in the marriage license application obtained by Alpha News the “859 41st Ave NE” address is the same one Ilhan Omar and Ahmed Nur Said Elmi used on their marriage license just three months earlier. marriage files



Both Omar and Elmi declare that their place of residence after marriage would be the same address in Columbia Heights, MN.

These filings suggest that Hirsi, Elmi and Omar were all living at the same Columbia Heights home from the time of Omar and Elmi’s marriage in February 2009.

Our anonymous source tells Alpha News that Ahmed Hirsi is Ilhan Omar’s cultural husband. The source said, “The two have been married Islamically and at no time were they separated.”

Alpha News can verify this statement through an interview with tcdailyplanet.net. Ahmed Hirsi is identified as Omar’s husband as reporter Sarah Lahm states, “After having started their daughter, Isra, in kindergarten in Minneapolis, Omar and her husband, Ahmed Hirsi, moved to North Dakota so that Omar could finish her bachelor’s degree in political science.” In an MPR.com blog post dated July 2013, ...

Alpha News has also obtained documentation that verifies Johnson’s conclusion that Ahmed Nur Said Elmi was evicted before returning to the United Kingdom where he currently resides. Documents say that Elmi was evicted in July 2012 from Hennepin Housing owned by the Copenhagen Hansen Family LP. eviction notice (1)

Alpha News has also obtained evidence that suggests that Ahmed Nur Said Elmi spent time in Fargo, North Dakota. University officials confirmed that both Ilhan Omar and Ahmed Elmi attended North Dakota State University roughly around the same time. School records show Omar attended the University from 2009-2011 and Elmi attended from 2010-2012.

What Alpha News can confirm is that Omar lived with both husbands (cultural and legal) for a period of time between 2009 and 2011 in two different states.

Omar’s opponent Abdimalik Askar, who is also a Somali-American, is demanding answers.

A press release on his facebook page reads:

“We all know what has been alleged about Omar illegally marrying her brother to commit immigration fraud. It is a serious accusation and would certainly disqualify her from representing district 60B if true,” said Somali-American and Republican-endorsed Abdimalik Askar. “The truly odd thing about the story is how Omar’s campaign has chosen to respond. Instead of having her brother explain who he married or producing any sort of documentation, Omar released a statement calling the accusations a racist witch-hunt. I’m obviously very much in favor of a Somali being elected in 60B, and my questions about this situation are like everyone’s. The constituents that Omar wishes to represent, myself included, would simply like a clear non-political answer about the allegations. If she can’t provide that, what kind of representative is she going to be?”

If the 2009 marriage was fraudulent and completed for immigration reasons, Omar could be facing serious charges.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has the following information on its website:

An individual will be charged with marriage fraud if they entered into a marriage for the purpose of evading U.S. immigration law. This felony offense carries a prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $250,000, and applies to both foreign nationals and U.S. citizens who perpetrate this crime.

Those charged with marriage fraud may also be charged with visa fraud, harboring an alien, conspiracy and making false statements; each charge carries additional prison sentences and financial penalties.

Fellow legislator accuses Ilhan Omar of using campaign funds for divorce lawyer

A state lawmaker filed a complaint against fellow Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, accusing her of using campaign money to pay her divorce lawyer’s legal fees in violation of state law.

Republican Rep. Steve Drazkowski recently filed the complaint about Omar, a Minneapolis Democrat who is running for U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison’s open congressional seat.

Drazkowski questioned a $2,250 payment she made in Nov. 2016 to Kjellberg Law Office for legal fees. The firm, which specializes in family law and divorce cases, handled Omar’s 2017 divorce.

Drazkowski, of Mazeppa, submitted the complaint to the state’s Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. Jeff Sigurdson, the board’s director, said the board’s policy does not allow him to even confirm a complaint was filed until it’s resolved or there are findings.

The general process for handling complaints is to first determine whether the complaint is under the board’s jurisdiction and whether there is some basis to believe the violation occurred, he said.

Then the target of the complaint presents his or her side and the board decides if a formal investigation is needed. The process could take up to several months if there is an investigation, Sigurdson said.

Drazkowski said Omar has a history of campaign finance violations. She accrued $1,100 in fines after failing to file a statement of economic interest until last month, nearly five months after it was due. She was also fined $1,000 in May 2017 after filing a different campaign contribution report late, as well as facing a $150 fine for a late filing in November 2017.

“It continues to show really a worrisome pattern,” he said, adding that the number of campaign finance violations is “very unusual.”

A Republican state lawmaker on Tuesday accused state Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Democratic candidate for Congress, of improperly charging $3,000 in travel expenses to her campaign committee.

Rep. Steve Drazkowski has been mounting a series of allegations against Omar in recent months. His latest complaint stemmed from travel expenses, including airfare to Estonia and expenses for Omar to speak at a rally for a Boston City Council candidate, that he said he found in the year-end report for Omar's legislative campaign committee.

Omar's campaign did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment.

Drazkowski, of Mazeppa, also shared correspondence from the chair of the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board confirming that regulators found probable cause to investigate his earlier complaint that Omar illegally used campaign money for personal legal expenses.

"The more we dig, the more problems we find," said Drazkowski.

Drazkowski first alleged the misuse of campaign funds in July. Also that month, Omar said she would return $2,500 in speaking fees from two Minnesota community colleges after Drazkowski called out the payments as violating House rules against accepting an honorarium for a service from anyone with a direct interest in House business. Omar is on a House committee that makes funding and policy decisions for Minnesota's public colleges and universities.

But in a report that Drazkowski made public on Tuesday, Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Chair Carolyn Flynn said her board would open an investigation after documents that Omar's committee shared appeared to show that the committee paid for immigration and tax services that seemed to benefit Omar personally.

Flynn wrote that Omar's committee may have also violated House rules by not sufficiently justifying the payment in expenditure reports and called into question the timeliness and completeness of the committee's disclosures.

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Ilhan Omar made history last week, poised to become the first Somali-American candidate elected to a state house anywhere in the United States. But she’s now facing a slew of questions, and not giving a lot of answers, about marriage certificates and the identity of her legal husband.

The story has been bubbling to the surface since Omar defeated veteran lawmaker Phyllis Kahn in the 60B primary – a district which includes the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis. Omar, whose campaign biography says she spent 4 years in a Kenyan refugee camp before settling in Minneapolis in 1997, is a heavy favorite to win the November general election in her DFL stronghold district.

But now there are questions about her husband, and a couple marriage licenses of hers that are on file in Hennepin County.

In 2002, Omar, then just 19, swore out a marriage license with a man named Ahmed Aden. They write that they were married by the Muslim Church, but were having trouble getting housing and insurance. Hennepin County has no marriage certificate or final record that legalized the marriage.

Then, in 2009, she at least on paper legally marries a man by the name of Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. The conservative Power Line blog alleges that this is her brother -- a potential sham marriage to help the brother with immigration into the United States. Fox 9 cannot independently confirm the allegation.

In recent interviews, Ilhan Omar has said her husband is a third man -- Ahmed Hirsi -- the father of the couple's 3 children. We could not find any divorce records in Ilhan Omar's name in Minnesota.

New information allegedly reveals that Minnesota State Rep. Ilhan Omar, now a congressional candidate, used state resources to conduct her personal business.

“As we learn more about Representative Omar’s activity as a member of the Minnesota House, we continue to find more troubling violations of House Rules, and in this case, Minnesota law,” Drazkowski commented.

The findings are a result of a data practices request filed by Drazkowski’s office, which had previously been investigating Omar’s acceptance of speaking fees from organizations that lobby at the Minnesota Legislature. Omar admitted to the finance violations, and agreed to return the $2,500 she collected.

In the latest round of documents provided to Drazkowski, it is shown that Omar accepted an additional $250 payment from Minnesota State University, Mankato for appearing on a February 9 panel, claiming that she was not an employee of the State of Minnesota.

Based on the emails, Drazkowski also has reason to believe that Omar has “used state resources and state staff time to conduct her private business,” which he claims is a violation of state law.

“Once again, Rep. Omar has put the House in disrepute through her actions and has not accepted responsibility for them,” Drazkowski said, demanding that Omar “apologize to the state and her constituents for her repeated misconduct.”

Drazkowski has also speculated that Omar used campaign finances to help pay for her divorce, noting that she paid $2,250 to Kjellberg Law offices, which specializes in divorce law and was used by Omar during her 2017 divorce.

In another case, Omar filed her mandatory financial disclosure forms nearly six months late, earning herself $100 in late fees and $1000 in civil penalties.

From the beginning, Trump's rhetoric was criticized as racially charged.

In the June 2015 speech announcing his presidency, Trump spent much of the time targeting Mexico and the southern border. He said Mexico was "bringing their worst people" to the U.S. who were "bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists."

"They’re sending us not the right people," he said. "The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everyone else’s problems."

The speech was not welcomed by some minorities, especially those from Mexico.

Damn straight - Controlling The Borders to Stop Illegal Immigration is all about all the Criminals, Smugglers, Drug Traffickers, Child Slave Traders, Rapists, Murderers, Gangs/MS-13 who are 'the wrong people' who WE (meaning Conservatives) do not want in this country.

The Libs want all these Criminals, Drugs, Drug Dealers, Drug Smugglers, Rapists, Thieves, Child Slave Traffickers, Murderers, Gangs/MS-13 to pour into America.

During immigration talks in the Oval Office in January, President Trump reportedly grew frustrated, using a crude description of Haiti, El Salvador and African countries, according to a report from the Washington Post.

Well before he became president, Trump was one of the loudest voices of the "birther" conspiracy.

He claimed that then-president Barack Obama was not born in the U.S. and even went as far as claiming that he'd sent investigators to Hawaii, where Obama was born.

Even after Obama released a long-form version of his birth certificate, hoping to quell the conspiracy, Trump kept floating the idea that Obama was an illegitimate president.
