OMG!

Again - The Emperor Has No Clothes

Is this the Twilight Zone where all the libs are walking around making believe they think her Green New Deal is brilliant. When they really must be thinking 'You dumb sh*t'.

She is ignorant, stupid, disingenuous. That she would actually think her childish pie-in-the-sky scheme is feasible!

*********

It's like a fifth grader came up with this GND -

Teacher: Can anyone tell me how we can fight man-made global warming.
Johnny: We can get rid of all the airplanes!

Teacher: Good Johnny! Anyone else?
Billy: We can get rid of all cars except electric cars. The Government will build millions of electric car stations!

Teacher: Good Billy. Tommy?
Tommy: The Government can get rid of all fossil fuels, natural gas, coal, oil!

Teacher: What else can we do?
Jimmy: The Government can rebuild every building in America to be energy efficient!

Teacher: Good, now who will do all this work? Companies?
Bobby: The Government will get rid of all companies and businesses and Government Unions will do all the work!

Teacher: Good Bobby. What can we do for the people?
Jack: The Government will give everybody a job who wants a job!

Teacher: Yes, but what about those people who don't want to work?
Ricky: We will give them plenty of money to live on even though they don't want to work!

Teacher: Good! What else will The Government give to The People.
Martin:
A free house for everybody. Free healthcare for everyone. Free food for everybody! Free Education for everybody, Free childcare for everybody.

Teacher: Who will pay for everything?
The Children: The Government!

Teacher: Right!
How long will it take to do all this change!

The Children: Ten Years!

Teacher: That's right! The Government will take everybody's money and businesses away from them and The Government will Control Everybody and Everything in Communist America!

The Children: Yay!

The 10 Most Insane Requirements Of The Green New Deal

The Green New Deal isn't just un-American, it's also completely bonkers.

[thefederalist.com]

Note: Ocasio-Cortez’s office has taken down their page describing the Green New Deal. It is saved here.

A number of Democratic Party presidential hopefuls — including Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Julián Castro, and Beto O’Rourke, for starters — have already endorsed or expressed support for the “Green New Deal” (GND). Today, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Edward J. Markey dropped details about her plan.

It is not hyperbole to contend that GND is likely the most ridiculous and un-American plan that’s ever been presented by an elected official to voters. Not merely because it would necessitate a communist strongman to institute, but also because the societal costs are unfathomable. The risible historic analogies Markey and Ocasio-Cortez rely on, the building of the interstate highway system or moon landing, are nothing but trifling projects compared to a plan that overhauls modernity by voluntarily destroying massive amounts of wealth and technology. That is the GND.

While some of the specifics need to be ironed out, the plan’s authors assure us that this “massive transformation of our society” needs some “clear goals and a timeline.” The timeline is ten years. Here are some of the goals:

Ban affordable energy. GND calls for the elimination of all fossil fuel energy production, the lifeblood of American industry and life, which includes not only all oil but also natural gas — one of the cheapest sources of American energy, and one of the reasons the United States has been able to lead the world in carbon-emissions reduction.

Eliminate nuclear energy. The GND also calls for eliminating all nuclear power, one of the only productive and somewhat affordable “clean” energy sources available to us, in 11 years. This move would purge around 20 percent of American energy generation so you can rely on intermittent wind for your energy needs.

Eliminate 99 percent of cars. To be fair, under the GND, everyone will need to retrofit their cars with Flintstones-style foot holes or pedals for cycling. The authors state that the GND would like to replace every “combustion-engine vehicle” — trucks, airplanes, boats, and 99 percent of cars — within ten years. Charging stations for electric vehicles will be built “everywhere,” though how power plants will provide the energy needed to charge them is a mystery.

Gut and rebuild every building in America. Markey and Cortez want to “retrofit every building in America” with “state of the art energy efficiency.” I repeat, “every building in America.” That includes every home, factory, and apartment building, which will all need, for starters, to have their entire working heating and cooling systems ripped out and replaced with…well, with whatever technology Democrats are going invent in their committee hearings, I guess.

Eliminate air travel. GND calls for building out “highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary.” Good luck Hawaii! California’s high-speed boondoggle is already in $100 billion dollars of debt, and looks to be one of the state’s biggest fiscal disasters ever. Amtrak runs billions of dollars in the red (though, as we’ll see, trains that run on fossil fuels will also be phased out). Imagine growing that business model out to every state in America?

A government-guaranteed job. The bill promises the United States government will provide every single American with a job that includes a “family-sustaining wage, family and medical leave, vacations, and a pension.” You can imagine that those left in the private sector would be funding these through some unspecified “massive” taxation. On the bright side, when you’re foraging for food, your savings will be worthless.

Free education for life. GND promises free college or trade schools for every American.

A salubrious diet. The GND promises the government will provide “healthy food” to every American (because there are no beans or lettuce in your local supermarket, I guess).

A house. The GND promises that the government will provide, “safe, affordable, adequate housing” for every American citizen. I call dibs on an affordable Adams Morgan townhouse. Thank you, Ocasio-Cortez.

Free money. The GND aims to provide, and I am not making this up, “economic security” for all who are “unable or unwilling” to work. Just to reiterate: if you’re unwilling to work, the rest of us will have your back.

Bonus insanity: Ban meat. Ocasio-Cortez admits that we can’t get zero emissions in 10 years “because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.” The only way to get rid of farting cows is to get rid of beef.

The GND uses the word “massive” to explain the size “investments” (formerly known as “taxes”) 13 times. How will we pay for this plan? “The same way we did the New Deal, the 2008 bank bailouts and extend quantitative easing,” say Markey and Cortez, who earned her degree in economics at an institution of higher learning that should be immediately decertified. The plan itself seems to insinuate that billionaires can pay for the whole thing. Of course, best case scenario, it is estimated that instituting a top marginal tax rate of 70 percent would raise a little more than $700 billion over that decade. She does not explain how we’re going to raise the other 20 bazillion dollars it will cost to tear down modernity.

Cortez and Markey claim that 92 percent of Democrats and 64 percent of Republicans support the Green New Deal. I’m not sure where that number is derived. But ask them again when government agents come to take out their water heater.

Zero Carbon Building reveals how a typical Hong Kong flat can become a sustainable eco-home
Kowloon Bay project revamps unit comforts and conservation products available in Hong Kong

Peta Tomlinson

It’s no coincidence that, during the long months of hot, sticky weather in Hong Kong, we feel far more comfortable in the countryside than in the city.

The combination of high-density, tropical climate and high-rise buildings means Hong Kong suffers considerably from the “urban heat island” effect, a phenomenon that climate-change scientists say can make the air up to 12 degrees Celsius warmer than neighbouring, less developed places.

Cranking up the air conditioning is not the most environmentally-friendly solution to coping with summer in the city. The answer is to build cooler, smarter cities in the first place.

Hong Kong architect William Lim, managing director of CL3, has a particular interest in sustainable design, and shows how it can be done through projects including the Eco-home component of the Zero Carbon Building (ZCcool smiley in Kowloon Bay.

The first zero carbon building in Hong Kong was established to demonstrate how eco-design combined with active green technologies can greatly reduce the emissions of city buildings, and produce a more comfortable, healthier living environment for all. Given that in Hong Kong, buildings account for some 89 per cent of electricity use – and electricity in turn accounts for more than 60 per cent of the total local emissions – greener construction is pivotal to the government’s carbon reduction targets.

One of the problems with existing buildings, Lim says, is the glass curtain wall facade almost universally adopted for high-rise construction during the 1960 and 70s.

“You’d think the curtain wall is environmentally friendly as it lets in natural light, but those windows can’t be opened [and need constant air conditioning], and the glass also produces glare and reflects heat,” he explains. Buildings, Lim continues, “are meant to breathe”. That means allowing natural ventilation through opening windows and site orientation – features he was able to include in the Eco-home show flat.

Following its initial unveiling in 2012, the Eco-home at ZCB was subsequently revamped in line with the evolving technologies. It further demonstrates a holistic, sustainable way of living that can be easily adopted by the public, and how a smart design philosophy for a low carbon home can enhance quality of life.

Replicating a typical Hong Kong apartment, the Eco-home has a living room, an open kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Its design approach is one of stylish contemporary living, incorporating five fundamental elements of sustainable design – energy and water conservation, comfort level, materials selection and lifestyle decisions – to form a semi-self-sustained system.

“To meet LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) criteria, all construction materials are sustainable – such as [cabinetry] veneers made from banana leaf, and bamboo flooring,” Lim explains. “In the bathroom, we used low-flow faucets [taps] with a hand drier built into the tap. We have a food-waste digester in the kitchen and a greenhouse on the terrace where people can hydroponically grow herbs and vegetables for the table.”

The show flat also has a piezo electricity generating floor (which harvests energy simply by being walked on), smart lighting systems and a water-efficient washing machine.

A comfortable indoor environment is achieved, even throughout summer, via a custom-designed passive cooling system.

“We have a lot of opening windows, and a bladeless ceiling fan,” Lim explains. To make sleeping easier on the hottest of nights, “we designed a bed so that if you do need to turn on air conditioning, the cool air is confined to the bed instead of the whole room”, he says.

All of the products and technologies showcased at the Eco-home are available in Hong Kong now. Guided tours of the facility may be arranged by appointment.

Lim also notes that more developers in Hong Kong are aiming for LEED or BEAM (Building Environmental Assessment Method) certification.

An early mover, the CL3 imbued green elements into Hotel Icon, which was completed in 2011. The practice is also incorporating some of the latest environmental technologies into H Queen's, a new art hub in Central nearing completion for Henderson Land, which seeks gold certification in LEED and BEAM.

Lim sees it as an architect’s role to be environmentally conscious.

“We are at the forefront” of shaping the cities of the future, he says.

Trump likened the deal — a sweeping House resolution introduced last week by Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) — to a “high school term paper that got a low mark.” He added that the resolution, which is aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions and guaranteeing jobs and high-quality health care for all Americans, would result in the shutdown of “American energy” as well as a “little thing called air travel.”

Yes, as I've always said - Libs Love Government, and Socialists/Communists like AOC Love Government so much they Want Government to Take Over Everything and Control Everybody - Idiot AOC's Green New Deal proves that she and the other Socialist/Communist Idiot STATISTS Want Government to Control The World! What a Stupid Fool!

How the Left Embraced Elitism

The Progressives’ Green New Deal centralizes power.

By David Brooks

Over the past generation, Global Capitalism has produced the greatest reduction in human poverty in history. Over the past 10 years, American capitalism has produced 20 million new jobs. The productive dynamism of capitalism is truly a wonder to behold.

That Democratic Party is ending. Today, Democrats are much more likely to want government to take direct control. This is the true importance of the Green New Deal, which is becoming the litmus test of progressive seriousness. I don’t know if it is socialism or not socialism — that’s a semantic game — but it would definitely represent the greatest centralization of power in the hands of the Washington Elite in our history.

The resolution is unabashed about this, celebrating and calling for more “federal government-led mobilizations.” Under the Green New Deal, the government would provide a job to any person who wanted one. The government would oversee the renovation of every building in America. The government would put sector after sector under partial or complete federal control: the energy sector, the transportation system, the farm economy, capital markets, the health care system.

The authors liken their plan to the New Deal, but the real parallel is to World War II. It is the state mobilizing as many of society’s resources as possible to wage a war on global warming and other ills. The document is notably coy about how all this would be implemented. Exactly which agency would inspect and oversee the renovation of every building in America? Exactly which agency would hire every worker?

But the underlying faith of the Green New Deal is a faith in the guiding wisdom of the Political Elite. The authors of the Green New Deal assume that technocratic planners can master the movements of 328 million Americans and design a transportation system so that “air travel stops becoming necessary.” (This is from people who couldn’t even organize the successful release of their own background document.)

They assume that congressional leaders have the ability to direct what in effect would be gigantic energy firms and gigantic investment houses without giving sweetheart deals to vested interests, without getting corrupted by this newfound power, without letting the whole thing get swallowed up by incompetence. (This is a Congress that can’t pass a budget.)

If this were ever put into practice, there would have to be several new Pentagons built to house the hundreds of thousands of new social planners. The elite universities would have to be transformed into technocratic academies in which the children of the rich were trained so they could be dirigistes for the state.

In an alienated America, efforts to decentralize power are more effective and realistic than efforts to concentrate it in the Washington elite. The great paradox of progressive populism is that it leads to elitism in its purist form.[/color]

The impulse to create a highly centralized superstate recurs throughout American history. There were people writing such grand master plans in the 1880s, the 1910s, the 1930s. They never work out. As Richard Weaver once put it, the problem with the next generation is that it hasn’t read the minutes of the last meeting.

The Mises Free-Market Capitalism Libertarians have brains and common sense. Here's what they think of AOC's cockamamie Green New Deal -

AOC and the Green Great Leap Forward

[mises.org]

In what its supporters have claimed is “visionary,” the congressional media darling, Alexandria Occasio-Cortez (AOC) has released her short-awaited Green New Deal , and she has called for nothing short of destruction of life as we have known it:

On one level, AOC is being honest; such a plan would be unprecedented, at least in the United States, but it hardly would be the first government-led massive intrusion into a nation’s economy. The 20th Century was full of such intervention, beginning with World War I, and continuing through the years of communist governments. The century was full of intervention, and the earth was full of the dead bodies to prove it. What AOC and her political allies, including most Democrats that have declared they will run for the U.S. Presidency, are demanding is the U.S. version of Mao’s utterly-disastrous Great Leap Forward.

For all of the so-called specifics, the Green New Deal (GND) reads like a socialist website which is full of rhetoric, promises, and statements that assume a bunch of planners sitting around tables can replicate a complex economy that feeds, transports, and houses hundreds of millions of people. The New York Times declares the plan to give “ substance to an idea that had been a mostly vague rallying cry for a stimulus package around climate change, but its prospects are uncertain.”

Actually, there is nothing we can call “substance” in this proposal if we mean “substance” to be a realistic understanding that it would be impossible to re-direct via central planning nearly every factor of production in the U.S. economy from one set of uses to another, since that is what the proposed legislation actually requires. For example, the following is what AOC and others call the “scope” of the proposed law:

(A) The Plan for a Green New Deal (and the draft legislation) shall be developed with the objective of reaching the following outcomes within the target window of 10 years from the start of execution of the Plan:

Dramatically expand existing renewable power sources and deploy new production capacity with the goal of meeting 100% of national power demand through renewable sources;

Building a national, energy-efficient, “smart” grid;

Upgrading every residential and industrial building for state-of-the-art energy efficiency, comfort and safety;

Eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from the manufacturing, agricultural and other industries, including by investing in local-scale agriculture in communities across the country;

Eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from, repairing and improving transportation and other infrastructure, and upgrading water infrastructure to ensure universal access to clean water;

Funding massive investment in the drawdown of greenhouse gases;

Making “green” technology, industry, expertise, products and services a major export of the United States, with the aim of becoming the undisputed international leader in helping other countries transition to completely greenhouse gas neutral economies and bringing about a global Green New Deal.

It is hard to know where to begin in analyzing such an ambitious plan, especially when one understands the ramifications of what is in this bill.

In other words, this whole operation allegedly will generate so much new wealth that it will pay for itself, lift millions from poverty, and transform the entire U.S. economy. The plan is so generous that it promises an income even to people, according to the Democrat’s press release, who refuse to work still will be provided a “living wage” income.

The plan also is famous not only for what it purports to create (out right utopia) but what it also calls to be banned: cows and airlines. The plan calls for phasing out air travel within a decade to be replaced by a network of high-speed rail, as though this were even feasible. Cows, as the released document acknowledges, have flatulence, so they must be totally eliminated from the earth and meat from the U.S. diet, but there is nothing to address the massive disruption to life as we know it in order to implement such a plan.

To be honest, “untouched” is not the appropriate term here, as “smashed” or “destroyed” is much more accurate and descriptive. We are not speaking of ordinary government intervention that marks most of the U.S. economy, but does allow for something of a price system to continue to exist. Instead, something of this magnitude would require a complete government takeover with central planning on a scale so huge that it would have to surpass the grandest dreams of the old Soviet Gosplan.

One of the most-asked questions, of course, is: “How do we pay for this?” Perhaps it is natural to ask such things, but we are not speaking of a particular project for which we have to purchase materials and pay those who create it. Instead, this plan would simply redirect nearly every resource, almost all labor, and every other factor of production away from current uses to something as determined by government planners and overlords. There is no other accurate way to describe what we are seeing.

The resolution naively assumes that all that needs to be done is for government to “finance” these projects through huge increases in taxes, borrowing, and (of course) printing money, and that such infusions of money will enable the government to “pay” for all of these new projects as though one were building a new skyscraper in Manhattan:

Such statements demonstrate a profound ignorance of even basic economic concepts. The authors and supporters of this document believe that all it will take is for the government to direct massive amounts of money toward these new projects, and everything else will fall into line. But that is not even close to reality, as the only way to redirect such massive amounts of money would be to use force, and deadly force at that.

First, and most important, much of the present capital in the USA is geared toward the kind of economy that AOC and the Democrats demand be made illegal, so huge swaths of the capital stock would have to be abandoned, as little of it could be redirected elsewhere. One cannot overestimate the kind of financial damage that would cause, and it would impoverish much of the country almost overnight.

Second, the entire economy would be required to pivot toward capital development that would not be possible, given current technologies and opportunity costs, to create, especially in the 10-year time frame that the Democrats are demanding. Diverting new streams of finance toward such projects would be useless and even counterproductive, as the system simply would be overwhelmed. It would not be long before scarcity itself would mean that entire projects either would be stalled (like what we see with the infamous “Bullet Train” in California) or even abandoned. The human cost alone would be staggering.

As pointed out at the beginning of this article, for all of the “grand vision” rhetoric that accompanies the rollout of the AOC plan, this is nothing less than an attempt to re-implement Mao’s Great Leap Forward, albeit with high-speed rail instead of backyard steel mills. One cannot overestimate the disaster that would follow if this were forced upon the American economy.

So-called political visionaries rarely are willing to be truthful about the destruction that follows their schemes. When Baby Boomers were in college a half-century ago, many saw Mao as their political hero, a man with great vision who had the political will to do what was necessary to advance the fortunes of his own people. That he was a murderous tyrant who presided over mass death that exceeded even the killings of World War II was irrelevant or even ignored.

Today, we are told by her adoring press that Alexandria Occasio-Cortez is the New Visionary, a person who is far-seeing and knows what we have to do in order to survive the coming consequences of climate change. That her grand vision is little more than a mass-depopulation scheme is ignored, and we ignore it at our peril.

William L. Anderson is a professor of economics at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland.

What a freaking Idiot!

Ocasio-Cortez: I Acknowledge My Privilege Being Born 'Cisgendered'

"I’m a cisgendered woman"

Even intersectionality Democratic darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez acknowledges she has some privilege. And, no, it's not the privilege of growing up in the largely affluent Westchester county. According to the freshman congresswoman, she inherited "cisgender privilege."

Speaking on The Intercept podcast this week, Ocasio-Cortez talked in depth about all kinds of privilege in the United States, from white privilege to gender privilege. First, she asserted that woke white people need to go beyond simply acknowledging the racism that pervades all of American society.

"Acknowledging racism is a really big step. It’s a really big step from where we were ... It’s nowhere near enough and the solutions are so painful," she said.

Ocasio-Cortez went on to claim that white people have a painful time acknowledging the privilege they inherited because it damages their sense of identity.

"Frankly, I find it — I find the solutions for white communities to be very painful because it’s very painful for a community to understand and have go through this — like, you can be — the idea that you can be poor and benefit from the color of your skin does not compute for a lot of people," she explained. "And going through that realization is very painful or even just economically for people that were born with silver spoons. It’s very painful to admit that you had advantages."

Host Ryan Grim used Justice Brett Kavanaugh's expression of his anger "in front of the whole country" as an example of what happens when white people are confronted with accusations of privilege, even though the man was being accused of sexual assault without evidence while nearly having his life ruined. Ocasio-Cortez agreed that communities have a difficult time acknowledging this privilege.

"If you haven’t had a transition in your life where, you know, you were maybe born poor or born without certain privileges and then especially as you transition into having certain privileges in your life, you actually see and feel and sense and taste and smell all of the differences," she said. "If you’ve never experienced different treatment in your life, you wouldn’t know what different treatment feels like or looks like."

The trick to overcoming this, according to the freshman Congresswoman, is to just acknowledge that everyone has some bit of privilege. Using herself as an example, Ocasio-Cortez acknowledged her privilege of being born as a female and identifying as a female.

"We can all, almost every single person in this country can acknowledge some privilege of some of some type, you know," she said. "I’m a cisgendered woman. I will never know the trauma of feeling like I’m not born in the right body. And that is a privilege that I have, no matter how poor my family was when I was born."

She continued, "But it’s really hard for some people to admit that they — you know, it’s part of this weird American Dream mythology that we have, that for a lot of — in a lot of circumstances isn’t as true or isn’t as clearly communicated as we’d like for it, or we wish it was."

Jack walked into a sports bar around 9:58 pm. He sat down next to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at the bar and stared up at the TV as the 10:00 news came on. The news crew was covering a story of a man on a ledge of a large building preparing to jump.

Alexandria looked at Jack and said, "Do you think he'll jump?"

Jack says, "You know what, I bet he will." Alexandria replied, "Well, I bet he won't." Jack placed $30 on the bar and said, "You're on!"

Just as she placed her money on the bar, the guy did a swan dive off of the building, falling to his death. She was very upset and handed her $30 to Jack, saying, "Fair's fair... Here's your money."

Jack replied, "I can't take your money, I saw this earlier on the 5 o'clock news and knew he would jump."

Alexandria replies, "I did too; but I didn't think he'd do it again."

Jack took the money. Alexandria went back to work at the US Congress.

Now AOC is dictating whether we should have children or not ...such a STATIST ...

Oh, Wow! AOC is one of those airhead clones that say, "LIKE" a hundred times... THAT'S PROOF SHE'S AN IDIOT. Any young woman who says, "Like" every two seconds is an IDIOT!

Ocasio-Cortez: People Maybe Shouldn’t Reproduce Due To Climate Change

"Is it okay to still have children?"

Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) suggested on Sunday night that people should consider not having children due to climate change because there is a "scientific consensus" that life will be hard for kids.

"Our planet is going to hit disaster if we don't turn this ship around and so it's basically like, there's a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult," Ocasio-Cortez said while chopping up food in her kitchen during an Instagram live video. "And it does lead, I think, young people to have a legitimate question, you know, 'Is it okay to still have children?'"

Ocasio-Cortez then took a shot at Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) over an incident that happened in Feinstein's office on Friday when a far-left fringe group tried to pressure Feinstein into supporting the Green New Deal.

Ocasio-Cortez said Feinstein's response was "like not good enough" because the legislation that the Democrats support is "frankly going to kill us."

"This idea that 'I've been working on this for x-amount of years,' um, it's like not good enough," Ocasio-Cortez said. "Like, we need a universal sense of urgency, and people are like trying to introduce watered-down proposals that are frankly going to kill us. A lack of urgency is going to kill us."

So AOC has declared herself "The Boss" now - she continues to humiliate herself, but is too stupid to realize shooting off her mouth all the time brings on more ridicule and derision -

This is great! Tucker Carlson explaining how idiotic AOC is the boss of the Libs. And the video shows how Lib Women have taught their kids to be Lib Bullies/Thugs.

BREAKING SCANDAL: Slimy Corrupt Unethical AOC

The Congresswoman Loves the Swamp

Her Wealthy Chief of Staff used a PAC to Pay Her Boyfriend

[medium.com]

(Read Article which explains AOC's unscrupulousness)

"That’s definitely unethical and potentially illegal."

Of course, Ethics Violations mean nothing to the Libs. Nothing stick to them like it would to a Conservative in the same situation. The Conservative would have to resign or get booted out. Double Standard.

FEC Complaint Filed Against Ocasio-Cortez For Illegal Payments To Boyfriend

[thefederalistpapers.org]

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is in some hot water now over payments to her boyfriend.

The 29-year-old was caught giving her boyfriend an email account on her official congressional email.

It was claimed by many that this was evidence that she had hired her boyfriend to be a member of her staff.

Ocasio-Cortez denied the allegation and said she only gave him the address so he could check her emails for her.

But then it was discovered that her boyfriend was paid handsomely for some cushy job with one of her main campaign supporter PACS.

And now a Republican group has filed a complaint arguing that she violated campaign finance laws to pay her boyfriend, Fox News reported.

A Republican group filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday alleging that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign may have illegally funneled thousands of dollars through an allied PAC to boyfriend Riley Roberts.

Members of the Washington, D.C.-based Coolidge Reagan Foundation allege in their complaint that when the Brand New Congress PAC (BNC) — a political arm of Brand New Congress LLC, a company that was hired by Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., to run and support her campaign — paid Roberts for marketing services, it potentially ran afoul of campaign finance law.

“It’s not illegal for [Ocasio-Cortez] to pay her boyfriend, but it appears that they created some sort of scheme to avoid claiming the money [as a campaign expense],” Dan Backer, a D.C.-based attorney who filed the complaint on behalf of the foundation, told Fox News. “What exactly did he do for that money?”

It was first reported last week that the Brand New Congress PAC paid Roberts during the early days of the Ocasio-Cortez campaign. According to FEC records, the PAC made two payments to Roberts – one in August 2017 and one in September 2017 – both for $3,000.

The FEC complaint specifically cites the use of “intermediaries” to make the payments, “the vague and amorphous nature of the services Riley ostensibly provided,” the relatively small amount of money raised by the campaign at that stage and “the romantic relationship between Ocasio-Cortez and Riley” in asserting the transactions might violate campaign finance law
.

The Coolidge Reagan Foundation — a 501(c)(3) — is requesting that the FEC look into the payments for potential violations on relevant campaign finance laws that state that campaign contributions “shall not be converted by any person to personal use” and that “an authorized committee must report the name and address of each person who has received any disbursement not disclosed.”

Behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Masterful Interrogation Of Michael Cohen

Have you seen the live intterorgation? Wow this girl is awesome! Busted Trump knows where shes going And these cultist call her an Idiot???

I love this idiot AOC, Youalls craped over obama , now just sit back and watch her dance!

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) went viral again yesterday.

This time it wasn’t because of her dancing skills or an epic Twitter clapback, but thanks to her sharp questioning of Michael Cohen at the House oversight committee hearing on Wednesday.

The freshman New York congresswoman “expertly laid a trap” to get President Donald Trump’s tax returns, and “won” the Cohen hearing, according to two raving press accounts.

More idiocy from AOC or IAOC - Idiotic AOC

Once again, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez misses the point and facts

“There’s scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult. And it does lead young people to have a legitimate question: is it okay to still have children?”

— Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

You know how people say, “There’s no such thing as a dumb question?”

AOC just proved them wrong.

“Is it OK to still have children” is an idiotic inquiry on every level. It’s based on a false premise, unsupported by any facts and, if taken to its logical conclusion, would literally destroy American society.

So expect it to become part of the official Democratic Party platform in 2020.

There’s a media meme being promoted by the left that it’s somehow unfair to fact-check Rep. Ocasio-Cortez. The Bomb-Throwing Bartender from the Bronx should be, like Donald Trump, “taken seriously but not literally.”

As Shadi Hamid of the left-leaning Brookings Institution has written of AOC’s other big idea — a 70 percent top income tax rate — “it probably doesn’t matter whether it is a good idea, or whether it would ‘work.’ ” The point is that it’s an insane, envy-driven, economically idiotic idea that loony Cambridge liberals really love.

So to hell with math — we win!

But is a society where couples are convinced they can’t have kids really #Winning? Is fear over climate change a “legitimate” reason to question your morality for wanting to start a family?

At the risk of being accused of “mansplaining” (aka “doing basic math”), here’s why the answer is no:

Start with the false claim about a “scientific consensus” that your kids’ lives are going to be lousy. That’s simply not true.

A child born today is less likely to be poor than at any time in human existence. When AOC was born in 1989, nearly 40 percent of the world’s population lived in extreme poverty. Thanks to capitalism’s spread, that number’s now below 10 percent.

And those kids are more likely to live in a democracy, too. In 1989, less than half the world’s population lived under a democratic government. Today, nearly two-thirds of the human race is governed by some form of representative government — with or without Russian bots.

Parents who ignore AOC’s parenting advice are more likely than ever to have healthy children, children who are less likely to go hungry, more likely to attend school and will almost certainly live longer than any other generation in human history.

What could possibly go wrong? Well, AOC.

We could be stupid enough to embrace her anti-science, anti-intellectual agenda and, for starters, destroy our own economy via the Green New Deal. A new study by the conservative American Action Forum puts the price tag for AOC’s “windmills and choo-choos” plan at an estimated $93 trillion over the next 10 years.

So let’s say the AAF folks are off by, oh, 100 percent. Let’s say this massive government boondoggle of federal spending and business regulations will actually cost far less than projected (Hey, why is everybody laughing?). OK, that’s still $40 trillion or so — which is nearly the entire federal budget for the next decade.

Then we could follow up by telling the 1 billion or so residents of the Third World still living without electricity, clean water, etc. — Sorry! Stinks to be you, but because some perky BU grad says you can’t have a carbon-based electrical grid, you’re stuck.

The Green New Deal for us means the same old stuff for you.

Why would we do this — to them or to ourselves? Yes, the world is getting warmer. And simultaneously life is getting better. Will we face problems in our future? Of course. Name a time, from before Noah’s flood until after the twin towers fell, when that wasn’t true.

But no generation has had it as good as the griping, socialism-grasping ingrates of the AOC crowd. And now they want to mess it up for the next generation?

Don’t let them. To paraphrase a slogan from the last generation of clueless proto-commies to infect American politics:

Make love, not class war.

That's the young idiots and many Millennials. Shallow. If someone is 'hot', has 'status', a social media presence, nothing else matters. No matter the character (think 'mean girl'), no matter how idiotic.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) slammed Fox News on Sunday after a typo in its chyron claimed President Donald Trump had cut “U.S. aid to 3 Mexican countries.”

The blaring announcement, which was erroneous in more ways than one, appeared on “Fox & Friends,” which is known to be one of Trump’s favorite shows.

“Just a reminder that these are the same folks who assert their superiority by belittling the intelligence and good faith of others,” the congresswoman wrote on Twitter.

The lawmaker, who introduced the Green New Deal to drastically cut emissions, also put in her pitch for fighting climate change. “For everyone who wants to make a joke about that, you may laugh but your grandkids will not,” she said.
