The Job Failure of AOC/An Incompetent Representative

This shocked me.

It turns out that AOC is a Lousy Representative of her New York District. That's big; that's a whole other level.

She's Irresponsible, Unreliable, inept, unprofessional. She's ignored her duty to her constituents. She's missing, just not available. That's a whole other side of her that shows what kind of a person she is.

She's too busy and focused on making herself famous to bother with those who elected her. That's a dealbreaker in my book and speaks volumes about who she is, about her character.

She's a F*ckup!

‘Her heart is not in the Bronx’: Ocasio-Cortez’s constituents turn against her

[nypost.com]

Amid her zeal to save the world with the Green New Deal, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has ignored residents in her own Bronx back yard.

“I thought AOC would be our savior, but that’s not the case,” complained Roxanne Delgado, a local activist who said she has tried for months to get in touch with the congresswoman for help saving an animal shelter and to clean up parks in the district.

Delgado, 40, says she has made numerous calls to Ocasio-Cortez’s offices in Washington and Queens and sent a barrage of tweets after the freshman lawmaker encouraged residents during a recent visit to a Bronx public library to hit her up on social media.

But she’s heard nothing back.

“NO email or contact on @AOC’s page except DC number which has full #voicemail and no one picks up,” Delgado tweeted on Monday.

The Post made several calls to both the Washington and Queens offices last week. The same recording at both numbers gives Ocasio-Cortez’s website and doesn’t allow callers to leave a message.

The website includes a “scheduling request” form that visitors can fill out to ask for a meeting.

Another Bronx constituent told a community gathering last month that they needed Ocasio-Cortez for a sitdown with post office officials to sort out difficulties he was having with mail delivery.

“I want AOC or a representative from AOC to be there,” Anthony Vitaliano, a former cop and Community Board 11 member, said at a Feb. 28 board meeting.

Vitaliano, 78, also wants Ocasio-Cortez to pressure Amtrak to clean up graffiti at property it owns on Tremont Avenue.

“You know, I appreciate what she’s doing, but she has to represent us,” he told the board gathering, where other elected officials — from the city and state but not AOC’s office — sent staffers.

Vitaliano told The Post: “She has to address these local issues. Her district is everywhere else in the US. Her heart is not in the Bronx.”

By contrast, he said, residents’ needs received much more attention under Rep. Joe Crowley, whom Ocasio-Cortez unseated in a surprise primary upset last year.

The longtime congressman’s Bronx district representative, Thomas Messina, regularly attended community board meetings, according to Vitaliano.

“Tommy cared about us,” Vitaliano said.

Although Ocasio-Cortez tweeted about improving mail service in the Bronx this month, Vitaliano said he was still experiencing problems and waiting for her office to arrange a meeting with post office management.

And although a Bronx community rep for Ocasio-Cortez visited the graffiti site, nothing has happened, he said.

Meanwhile, Delgado noted the animal shelter site was spared — thanks to help from the City Council and the mayor’s office.

Making access all the more challenging for her constituents, Ocasio-Cortez has yet to open an office in the Bronx.

A rep for her told a Bronx community board meeting in January that the congresswoman was having difficulty finding space.

How sad that she turned out to be a dud -

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez Ignores The Very People Who Elected Her To Congress

[bluepillsheep.com]

The story exposes just how much of a hypocrite Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has become, and how little she cares about those who elected her to Congress.

Her betrayal of the Bronx residents is made even more egregious by what AOC had campaigned on, that led to her shocking victory over Joe Crowley, the 4th most powerful Democrat in the House.

When Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ran against Crowley she billed herself as “Alex from the Bronx,” based on her performance as a Congresswomen so far, she should update her moniker to: “Alex FORMERLY of the Bronx.”

In 2018, Ocasio-Cortez claimed that Crowley has forgotten his roots and should be running in Virginia, Rather Than the Bronx.

Cortez implored the residents of NYC’s 14th district to elect someone who “drank their water, breathed their air,” someone who would work for them, and not some PAC.

After winning her primary against Crowley in June 2018, that assured her being elected to Congress in November. In her victory speech Ocasio-Cortez told her district:

“You have given this country hope, you have given this country proof that when you knock on your neighbor’s door, when you come to them with love, when you let them know that no matter your stance, you are there for them — that we can make change,”

Talk Is Cheap

During the three months since being sworn in, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has shown she cares more about hosting a talk show on MSNBC than she does about helping the people of her district.

Since being elected, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has proven to the people of the Bronx and Queens, it’s that she has bigger plans, and they’re merely stepping stones to her bigger, brighter future.

It’s ironic that one of Ocasio-Cortez’s campaigns attacks against Joe Crowley was accusing him of being more interested in becoming Speaker of the House that he was in helping his constituents.

If not for the fact that the Constitution clearly spells out that to be the President of the United States you must be 35 years old. It’s an absolute certainty that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would have already announced that she’s running for President in 2020.

No One in the Bronx or Queens Elected AOC To “Save The Planet”

One of the people featured in the Ocasio-Cortez article, was Roxanne Delgado, a Bronx Animal Rights advocate.

Delgado for months, despite being a resident in AOC’s 14th district, has been utterly ignored by Ocasio-Cortez in her efforts to save a desperately needed Bronx animal shelter.

In early 2018 Animal activist cheered after New York City announced it would construct an Animal Care Center, complete with shelter, adoption and veterinary services on city-owned land in Ocasio-Cortez’s Bronx district.

As a long time Animal activist, as well as having lived in the NYC area for decades, I can attest to NYC lacking adequate facilities in Queens and the Bronx for stray and homeless animals, as well as residents needing a pet care facility to have their pets spayed/neutered.

So, when NYC’s announced plans to build a new $60 million full-service animal shelter at the Bartow Avenue site in the Bronx, it came as welcome news for those who fight for the voiceless.

In a statement issued by NYC’s health department, they wrote that the shelter’s location would be ideal because it is near public transportation and had available off-street parking.

The statement also added:

“Additionally, the full-service shelter would also bring more than 100 permanent jobs.

Judging by Delgado’s fruitless trek on Twitter to contact Ocasio-Cortez, it seems evident, the Freshman Democrat, couldn’t be bothered with something so inconsequential as saving an animal shelter in her district, or the 100 jobs it would produce, because I assume she was far to busy “Saving the Planet.

Having covered Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for almost a year, Delgado not receiving a response isn’t at all shocking.

Even before she was officially sworn into Congress, Ocasio-Cortez seemed far more interested in getting press coverage for her over-the-top twitter tirades, than she was in helping the residents who elected her to office.

Ocasio-Cortez Doesn’t Want To Be Bothered

In late January 2019, multiple New York tabloids published articles reporting that despite being sworn into office three weeks earlier, Ocasio-Cortez’s constituents were still unable to contact her due to the fact that AOC had not opened a Congressional district office in either Queens or the Bronx.

Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign tried to explain away her lack of having a district office by saying she’s still taking “baby steps,” and they were having trouble locating office space.

Of course this was laughable, since anyone from Queens or the Bronx will attest, the one thing each borough had an abundance of was office space.

A few of the responses Delgado received, were clearly from Ocasio-Cortez’s twitter mob, telling the Animal Advocate to just go away, AOC was far too busy saving the planet, than to be worried about some stupid animals.

Other tweets posted the phone number to Ocasio-Cortez’s recently opened Queens office, and told Roxane Delgado to call.

Of course, no one tweeted the Bronx office number, because three months after being elected, Ocasio-Cortez still hasn’t opened one.

She is an intelligent, independent woman. And best of all, AOC really doesn't care what her critics think -- which, to them, is probably the most infuriating thing about her.

Jennifer forget Accents, Slanderous dancing and her brown skin,
Your attacks On AOC- More personal than policy focused.

” Better to “pivot to an argument less focused on her personally and race try tp focus more about her policy proposals.”

How desperate the GOP Taliban attack on AOC accent? first Slanderous dancing now her accent, and ect ect ect, These racist are comical!
