Why Are Some threads blocked for discussing meat?

Date: April 06, 2007 01:31PM Only two of the forums clearly state they are vegan only, so why is discussion of meat products banned on the other forums? surely the website is for: Living And Raw Foods. Don't see Vegan or Vegeterian in there. I'm not trying to offend anyone, was just wondering why we can't discuss raw meat and raw meat products? Re: Why Are Some threads blocked for discussing meat?

Date: April 06, 2007 06:33PM The entire board is for raw vegan food only. Other foods are often discussed, and sometimes encouraged, but as far as threads encouraging other than raw vegan foods, no, no, no. Read the first post in the first forum, it explains things pretty clearly. I haven't read it in a while, but I am pretty sure my memory is straight. ![]() This way is not compatible with Zen practice. Denial & censorship is not the proper way to win intelligent converts. Re: Why Are Some threads blocked for discussing meat?

meat is meat by product :uric acid--->crystallize---> gout uric acid in back, crystallize ----> bad back undigested in intestines: putrification karma: must be paid back somehow levels of aggression: higher due to : hormones, steroids pumped in to make it bigger other goodies in meat: antibiotics yumm ![]() rainforest: is cleared rapidly and daily to make grazing pastures for cattle to be fattened to be slaughtered meat is not a happy topic maybe that is why people don't talk about it cuz people here wanna mostly stay in the solution can't figure out why else to not talk about it its a fair topic Re: Why Are Some threads blocked for discussing meat?

Date: April 07, 2007 06:01PM But this forum was set up for vegan discussions.
Personal initiative will yield someplace to discuss meat. No one is forced to use this forum. If we do so, we should respect the hosts wishes. Nothing difficult about that. Re: Why Are Some threads blocked for discussing meat?

People considering giving up meat should be exposed to the pros and cons so they can make an informed decision. Re: Why Are Some threads blocked for discussing meat?

Date: April 08, 2007 03:36PM I have eaten meat and I have read lots of info on meat. I have seen how meat is processed. I feel like that is enough exposure to say with confidence that there are no pro's to eating meat. If you feel like discussing meat I would rather you go to the "Dead and Rancid Food Forum". I come here to learn of raw and vegan food. Re: Why Are Some threads blocked for discussing meat?

Date: April 08, 2007 07:21PM Joe: I think it is a good analogy. People that come to a vegan forum are generally of the opinion that animal products are bad.....or are trying to give up animal products. I wouldn't go to a carnivorous forum to learn the pro's and cons of fruit eating (even though its a fair discussion)! LOL. Of course, however YOU think is right to eat - I support you 100%.

Date: April 09, 2007 02:30AM it's a great analogy, David ![]() People considering giving up meat suspect it is bad as well, otherwise they probably wouldn't be giving it up. Re: Why Are Some threads blocked for discussing meat?

Date: April 09, 2007 03:10AM Meat is NAAASSSTYY, to me at least, it's an animal that once lived. Animals are humans trapped inside. How would you like it if we ate you. ![]() Re: Why Are Some threads blocked for discussing meat?

Well, don't you letting people post articles discussing meat (and then letting others post opinions about why meat eating isn't ideal) is better than not dealing with the subject at all? > - I support you 100%. Really? Thanks! ![]() Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
