Date: April 22, 2007 08:18AM is quiet like the coolness of midnight ocean waters shimmering under moonlight
and silent like a white rock whose jagged outline casts elongated shadows on the boulder behind it? is quiet like the smooth flesh of a hawaiian papaya and silent like the fuzzy prickliness of the outer rind of a kiwi? is quiet like drinking water from the apex singing river and silence is the absence of water and just the outline of where it once flowed? i'm wondering if they are one and the same or somehow different when does quiet stop being the silken coolness that is succor to the soul and segues into becoming a cold edge of a sharp rock? like everything else one can be something til it becomes another but then it can , sometimes, almost seamlessly go back to being what is desired from it not just a frame of mind but the miracle of spirit that takes one there focus is key taking action to prove to oneself that the dream is real is another way the dream is endless so many lifetimes multiplying forever all distilled to a single moment raw is sort of like that a sliver of an outline of the spirit of that in a way the continual seed of life helping one become a better conductor to ferry between the ocean of quiet and the desert of silence that's one reason to become raw so that silence is quietude and quietude can be enjoyed Re: what is the difference between quiet and silent?

i was thinking the opposite putting the word quiet for silence and vise versa but i don't have the monopoly on these two words though they are the great insubstantial substance that create all other substantive things Re: what is the difference between quiet and silent?

maybe you don't understand what I "said", I purposely made it a little tricky and only those who have experienced natures rest will understand. elnatural Re: what is the difference between quiet and silent?

Date: April 26, 2007 07:34PM quiet is a layer above silence.. its a less dense layer it is more "cool" in temperature
silence is more dense.. and verrry deep and most can't handle it but if u go beyond your own mental noise and into the forbidden "last frontier" of "silence" then it envelops you in its chrysalis cocoon and enfolds you to sleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz silence is like kim chi inverted heh heh ! I see you do know silence. They who encounter silence are braver than a mighty warrior. They who embrace silence know true freedom. Those who's freind is silence lack nothing. silence speaks wisdom in silence knowledge is heard the greatest teacher of all is silence it paves the way for understanding silence divides between noing and knowing silence is when you run out of kimchi elnatural Re: what is the difference between quiet and silent?
