<<now hes gone without ever taking the time to really enjoy life >> hey jodi u never know your friend may have had a lot of "enjoyable" moments in his heart u can never tell what goes on in the human heart and that is where everything is at maybe YOU were one of the friends in his life that made his life a "joy" even if he didn't exactly go away on frequent trips to the Bahamas and whatnot drinking pineapple kiwi coladas with little umbrellas in them anyways, i know how its like to lose friends like that it always did make me cherish my other friends even more Re: Just Cherish

Thank You for reminding us of what it sometimes takes death to make us realize. Regarding your friend, I have a suspicion we tend to go or return to somewhere nice when we die. Even so, six days after retirement seems ill timed. Kit Re: Just Cherish

So sorry about your friend. Thank you for stating so beautifully one of the most important truths. Cherishing what (and who) we have is one of the big secrets to happiness. When I am unhappy in my life I usually realize it's not that I need more things or people or whatever, but that I'm not appreciating and loving what's already in my life enough.
