Date: July 30, 2007 04:49PM Okay, here's some happy news:
I just bought my first watermelon this year because I found some organic ones with SEEDS. It's pretty good and I'm having some for breakfast right now.....yummmmmmmmm. More good news: If we start @#$%& properly we can eliminate or prevent all kinds of diseases: [naturesplatform.com] This is really good news ..... I knew our toilets were unnatural for us, but didn't know they caused so many diseases. Makes sense. Re: i want some happy news

Date: July 31, 2007 03:21AM A friend was feeling down because of something unfair that was done to her. I tried sharing a few words of encouragement and about 45 minutes later you could actually see the hurt beginning to wear off & she saw that as bad as it was that it could have been much worse. But best of all she gave me a big hug for taking the time to listen to her vent and her characteristic smile was back, despite still having to deal with resolving the situation.
In a nutshell it felt good to brighten someone's day that started out gray. Wishing you vibrant health Re: i want some happy news

It amazes me how I can throw a few seeds in the ground and in a few months have a fresh salad bar in my backyard for the whole summer!! I just can't wait until I can move to a climate where I can grow stuff all year round!!! I love the thought of not having to buy any produce at the store!!! Wheatgrass, it does a body good!!! Date: August 01, 2007 03:13PM When we were coming home from south central Texas Sunday afternoon we hit a traffic jam on I-10 and took Hwy. 90. It is longer but much prettier. When we got into town about 9:30 we turned the corner into a neighborhood and came upon a little Yorkshire Terrior walking down the middle of the street. We got it and realized it was about 100 years old -no teeth, frail, old eyes and skin and boney. It had tags and I found the owners number and left a message the next morning. The dog became ill in the night. He was vomiting and had diarhea. He had a high fever until the afternoon the next day. I called the vet and decided as long as I was getting fluids in him I was doing as much as anyone could. I nursed him all day. I had to hold his head up while he drank from a dropper. I finally reached someone at his home that said his owner was out of town and her dogs were staying with her son. By the time I finally talked to him he was frantic. The door had been left open when they were going to church. I could tell the little dog hadn't gotten that old and frail with out being cared for and loved by his owner. I thought about what a nightmare it would be to lose your old dog that way and how if we hadn't come upon him like that he surely would have died. He looked so much better when the son came and got him and I knew he was gonna pull through, at least until his mommy comes home. Sometimes the bittersweet memories, for me, are the sweetest.
I hope this makes you happy LaV. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/01/2007 03:21PM by pakd4fun. Re: i want some happy news

Date: August 01, 2007 04:00PM That is a sweet story about the little dog.
My good thing is I have been six weeks raw today. 100% raw. I have lost 50 pounds also. My skin is soft and healthy I have bounding energy. I am more centered and healthy feeling and also feel less depressed. Life has taken a big turn for me and I am very happy with being raw. Plus my family is proud of me. Re: i want some happy news

Thats a nice quote LTF Another one I know is, "You don't create peace by hating war, only by loving peace more" I have found that negative experiences are self justifying and deceptively self perpetuating. They always provide reason and necessity for actions for their prevention yet at their core they come from inner conflict or in other terms, perspective of their negative nature. IMO focusing on peace in an environment of war is not about ignoring the war around you but about aknowledging your own connectedness to all things and allowing the most fundamental of lifes constructive processes to bring about change the only way that it realy does. Just my opinion though Re: i want some happy news

If your house was on fire and you were asleep would you want any one tell you or if they did would you say they were just being negative? elnatural Re: i want some happy news

Date: August 04, 2007 05:58AM Hee hee El, well said, but these comments don't clash. If his house was on fire (our governments are corrupt), he could focus on what he COULD best do in the situation(raise awareness and support honest politicians and promote alternatives to the secretive policies in governments), rather than sit and wail about his losses(equivalent to criticizing the corrupt politicians without actively trying to replace them).
I know all that is much easier said than done - but I have seen some people whine and blame without calmly taking steps to make a bad situation better. Re: i want some happy news

nice name l i g h t f o r m l i g h t f o r m hmmmm... wonder what is the form of light is it the halo around clouds so purplish tinted they are blistering with magma just saw the moon coupla nights ago i couldn't believe the entire world wasn't outside their porches with jaws gaping it lit up the clouds like nothing imaginable light has so many forms then there are clouds that are within and the multitudinous halos that are always rupturing and then receding right now, a half crescent if the moon is at a certain glow and the clouds are at a certain puffy puff lacy covering broken sky i can stay transfixed for only so long cuz then it gets burned in my psyche and if i look at it longer i will spontaneously combust certain light forms are dangerous but i love all of them Re: i want some happy news

Date: August 04, 2007 11:19AM Hi LaV!
I know how you feel-- too much sad, bad, scary news all around us. We need to balance the creepy "face the music" stuff with news that feeds the soul and helps us to be empowered spiritually. Here's an article I printed up and took on my camping trip with me that makes me incredibly happy: [www.healingtaousa.com] Enjoy! (P.S. I'm only home on a 'pit stop' to get more water; going back to the campsite this a.m. and will be back on the board August 8th.) Sharrhan: [www.facebook.com] Re: i want some happy news

Date: August 05, 2007 12:36AM Mmm.. the way I understand things currently, it seems that the only truely "good" and "bad" in life exists solely within each persons perception of it. So ones actions are reasonably arbitrary save for their stigma or interpretation by each individual.
When one chooses a fresh apple over an old one I believe an expression of creation is taking place but that niether option is realy better or worse. The same applies to the example of a burning house. I have little comprehension of the universal design other than to know that all things are attracted to love and repulsed by its absence in all its various forms. I think that love has a harmonic patern that gives life and premotes wellbeing for all things while the opposite is true of its absence. Therefor in the example of the burning house, if there is a presence of peacefull focus the resulting actions will premote these things. If one focuses on "negative" things, the negative feeling associated with them rather than the things themselves will provide the creative aspect which will guide all subsequent actions and results. Even those not made by the person physicaly. We have the freedom to choose which way we wish to think and feel no matter the circumstances, which is why I think that focusing on peace is the only way to go. Not because I wish to ignore anything Re: i want some happy news
