I can't recall the websites name or addy..but I know copyright is for things like website names, written materials, books, etc. Trademarks are for something else. I think it was a government website, so I'd do a search online for registering trademarks..and do some reasearch on which is the best and cheapest or most legal.

Date: August 18, 2007 04:46PM another friend of mine that does alot of copyright stuff said one quick way while waiting for a patent/TM or copyright is to set out in documentation very precise instructions w/ photographs (if applicable) of exactly what you are doing and mail 3 (marked 1,2,3,) copies to your self ..keeping one at home sealed, one in a safety location sealed (bank box) , and the final to the patent people, which supposedly safeguards the *item or whatever* untill the process is completely complete

Date: August 18, 2007 09:20PM You can have some protection by placing the copyright name or sign for it on your website, along with the date. It implies it's yours until it's challanged by someone that already has a copyright on it I suppose.
