GRATITUDE LIST ( continue the flow...
Posted by: la_veronique ()
Date: November 13, 2007 09:58AM

okay... i'll start first
why not?

i am grateful for:

1) fresh air that moves through
being able to breathe.. the sweetness of it... truly
2) fingers that can pick dandelion from the soil
3) eyes that can take in the sun... eyes that can see the glowing ( even with my eyelids closed)
4) kwan's cool music ( that i am listening to right now smiling smiley thanks kwan! it is so beautiful and relaxing.. don't even know what to make of it... its like an angel feather ( shining quietly through it all.. okay.. i hope i remembered the name of the song correctly is the song i am listening to now)
5) that jose is in the UK but for some reason, he cares more about the U.S. then most of us americans smiling smiley
6) my green juice.. it was so delicious and i felt so touched that i am privileged enough to have these vegetables and be able to make and drink them
can u get any luckier than THAT? ( i ask U tongue sticking out smiley)

7) i have a place that i can sleep without having to be vigilant

8) i have legs that can walk
9) i have arms that can hold

10) i have ears that can hear the ocean singing

11) i have a soul

strange i put that one last

what does that mean?

oh... don't answer that one LOL

your turn

let's keep this list going on forever and ever and

EVER!!

right after i posted that

i realized i had like a TRILLIOn more things

but i didn't have all year to right them down

so little bit at a time

my brain tends to get "flooded" quite easily so

i had to discipline myself to stop at Numbah Elevvven

maybe some more tomorrow

writing these things down is sometimes like giving myself little ( or big)

gifts and putting them under an invisible outdoor tree

then i come back

and i open them one by one by one by one

feeling more and more and MORE elated as i peer into the box and see what is inside

okay... i don't care if it sounds corny

it is what keeps me going and smiling in my heart

and also a reserve when i forget ( which i do sometimes)

and then that is when i need to be reminded of all the endless gifts under the tree

okay.. i wanna hear what everyone else is grateful for

i wanna dance to something

let it be this

!!

12) I am grateful for being conscious of all these wonderful things and many more

13) for a glimpse of the torrent of poetic artistry that flows through la veronique's appreciated soul smiling smiley

14) for the idea of freedom, and the aspiration of it

15) for the heater that keeps me warm in these cold English nights smiling smiley

16) for an understanding of one of the languages of nature, mathematics

17) for Ron Paul winking smiley

18) for being able to skip along in my invisible treadmill smiling smiley

I love and honor the moments in life which have their very own unique and exquisite nuance of emotion.

The reflected moonlight on the water which you saw out of the side window of the car when you were young and your parents were driving you home. How it gleemed and danced as you sped along yet somehow always managed to stay exactly in the same place.

Those long sunny days where you used eat home made ice blocks while basking on the tiles around the swimming pool of your friends house.

The guy you knew who was crazy on timber. How you used to do day expeditions to the forrest to chop firewood for those lazy winter evenings round the fireplace playing board games. The smell of timber oils on all the wood turned products around the fire place, and the litter of garden paraphernalia for his specialist cacti collection.

Every moment with its own exclusive flavour unfolding for ever, I am gratefull for this.

* all the wonderful souls who congregate on this forum!
* the incredible love, faithfulness, humor, optimism and genius of my mate
* all the exquisitely infinite and beautiful colors that make art and fashion so
enjoyable and fascinating... for me it's mesmerizing
* the power of music -- all of its wondrous, evocative, shimmering potential to
move heart and soul -- and all this as emanating from a scale of a nere few
notes... quite miraculous!
* the warmth and security of my home
* the joy of living in a city where human beings and the arts are honored-- a
place where laws have been enacted to ensure the rights of street performers to
perform with amplification, unimpeded throughout the city; where immigrants
have sanctuary from government tyranny; where human rights and peace
commissions are as important as development and commerce
* the wonderful feeling of waking up each day, whole and healthy, filled with
energy and vitality
* personal freedom still intact, and the amazing fact that after being concerned
back in the '80s about where to move in the U.S. to be safe from earth changes,
in fact it turns out I was in the right place all along-- Massachusetts has
turned out to be a safe-haven from natural disasters and relatively unscathed
by cliamte change

this music i am listening to... i was listening to it all night ( cuz it helps me to sleep )
and then in the morning.. there were wisps of it..and i felt like each note was taking me deeper and deeper into my pillow

yeah.. it had the effect of my head sinking ever more into the pillow ... not kidding !

and i didn't want to wake up

oh and it is so pretty outside.. what with the leaves on the grass and the perfection of the wisps of sun

and... everything has such a keen scent

and for this emerald juice i am taking grateful sips from

the little glass goblet that it is in.. i got it for cheap ( just a few pennies... but it has an emerald stem... and an emerald tinted circular thing on the bottom that it stands on...

and the glass itself is like two hands formed to a cup

though its not hands

i just imagine it is.. and its holding the bouquet of liquid greens

oh.. and.. i have all my toes

and they are rather good looking LOL tongue sticking out smiley

The duration of time where I feel connected to perfection.
Such as the moments in the air completing a perfectly timed volleyball spike. The fluidity and effortlessness of the motion and the feeling of artistic satisfaction at its form.

The best thing ever that happened on me is that I discovered Pure Land Buddhism, which told me about the easiest and the only way to be free from reincarnation in this life itself.

Sorry I can't stop thinking of religion. =)

All the Best,
Wong

whoo, i'm grateful to be free of any and all "religion".

i'm so happy that my girlfriend has come over this morning to visit and give me a drive to the grocery store.

i'm grateful for this nice, big house. now that we are so many (big mama, two babes, two furbabies) it's good to have enough space.

it's a sunny day! gorgeous, warm and bright, shiny sun!

Me?? Oh yes!! Our philosophy, as you can tell, is the more the merrier. We have a spot for a little cabin too. We are a long way from Canada though. Some Canadians made it here a few years back LOL. You could go from Canadian to Cajun. LOL!! You have to make us some little green monsters with beautiful sweaters though.

* After looking up links for some of my beloved Taoist websites about the bigu state and qigong, optimal diet, etc., I'm filled with gratitude for these teachings, and those who, because they were devoted to the truth, bothered to invest the time, energy and money to share their spiritual and intellectual wealth with others.

* I'm also kind of overwhelemd with gratitude for the Internet. It can be a cesspool at times, but it's also a tremendous source of enlightenment that can bring us all closer together.

I noticed my toenails shining the other day. They look so fantastic. I don't remember them ever shining. My fingernails do too. I am very grateful for my health getting better and better and I could not have achieved it without the internet for which I am also grateful.

I'm grateful to be who I am since I was blessed with a natural inclination to appreciate things whether they happen to me or to other people. Like my father, I love all of nature - air, wind, colour, the whole,....

what comes now to mind:

all of Mother Nature and Father Heaven
my children
my father
Van Morrison
live concerts
small venue live music performances
walking
dancing
my son's girlfriend who is not vain and is becoming raw and NEVER kills spiders and who adopts small animals and who is very intelligent (and almost has her engineering degree) and who loves to 'shop' for third-hand belongings, cheap or free and who has a helpful attitude

I could probably spend the rest of my days being grateful.....maybe that's what we're meant to do?
