hmmm... yeah, i like tolle's stuff
been a while since i read power of now but it was pretty clear and straightforward


like what u said about all emotions being constructive, having a purpose, but not owning you and being able to merge THROUGH it instead of just ignoring it

that way, a person is integrated instead of fractured like :
1. if a feeling owns me, then i am fractured
2. if i ignore a feeling, i think i would be equally fractured
3. if i merge with the feeling ( acceptance) and then go through it, it integrates me

that is how i see it though and that is the challenge
but i think anything is possible

oh... okay, so here is a confession

so like i said i read his book a while ago ( couple of years ago.. maybe.. i'm thinking 4 or 5 years ago... )

and then i got a hold of some of his CD's ( now i can't find them ANYWHERE... where did they GO????)

and anyhow.. i used to make fun of his strange little "signature" chortle ( ha ha!!!) it sounded SOOO funny ( like he was wheezing between breathes of air)

but ... strangely enough ( like i said, ANYTHING is possible)

i recently saw a video thing of him ( just youtube) and now i find it a TAD ( and i underline TAD!!!) bit endearing ( LOL!)

oh and here is the question

okay... so it was a while since i read his book

and in the intro u mentioned he had a "mind collapse" where he ceased to "identify" with his mind activity

and .... i forget what happened though...

did his mind collapse also accompany a physical illness? ( or was it after a car accident?)

i am getting bits and pieces of information cross wired

what happened during his mind collapse?

my mind collapses all the time

but some of my feelings still conspire to own me

so i guess it hasn't collapsed enough

which is actually fine with me

yes , beacons are nice
i've had beacons in a few areas ( not necessarily overtly spiritual areas but its all related)

and u never forget those beacons, either

i think of it as a reverse jacket tumbling in a machine dryer

whether its tolle or u or anyone else

its still the same jacket ( of spirt) tumbling in the machine dryer

gradual, sudden or simply dormant enlightenment

just waiting to be worn , then washed, then dried, then worn, then washed, then dried

and its winter time now

and i'm wearing a very warm jacket ( coat, actually)

i feel like laughing ( in a good happy way) when i listen to eckart ( on youtube cuz i haven't gone to any of his seminars or anything or have any of his videos)

calming and relaxing feeling

and happy feeling

happy... for sure... i feel happy when i listen to him

that is why i know he is probably enlightened

i think that is why he laughs a lot too ( and yeah.. i've grown used to his peculiar chortle)

cuz he's just happy to
