Date: September 13, 2014 08:00PM I have been eating raw for ore than a month. One big problem. I am still constipated. I am taking psyllium 1teaspoon , night and morning. Not yet regular.
It is frustrating. Everybody tells me eating raw, never have constipation problem. I drink water, do exercise. Re: Help

Date: September 13, 2014 09:51PM You could have an unhealthy balance of gut bacteria, try using probiotics for a few months. You could also try digestive enzymes. However, because you just started eating raw, your digestive system is going to take some time to adjust. Could also be a magnesium deficiency.
Fresh fruit, chlorella, sprouted chia and flax seeds, ginger/cayenne, adequate hydration, along with probiotics/digestive enzymes should help a lot. Re: Help

Date: September 17, 2014 12:09PM I've never been constipated on the raw vegan diet, only on cooked vegan and standard diet. I think that in time, as you are consistent with the raw vegan diet, your body and digestive system will adapt and the constipation will go away. Just don't give up yet.
