Introduction, again

I think I was here awhile ago, then dropped off the face of the planet. You know how it goes smiling smiley
Anyway, my name's Vicki. I recently moved to NC to take a job in a public library, and I love it. However, my excess baggage, both physical and mental, has followed me. (I'm not much overweight, but I don't like the way things are going.) I've found that eating raw foods has helped my mood be a bit brighter and my stomach a little happier smiling smiley. As I don't like most vegetables, I am *slowly* adding raw foods into my diet, like I'll have a piece of fruit for breakfast every day and at least one raw component per meal. It really makes a world of difference.

Anyway, hello smiling smiley

Thank you so much. I'm finding out that just eating a piece of fruit for breakfast and one for snack does *not* hold me until lunch, so I have to find something a bit more filling so I don't overdo lunch or eat crap. (Mental note: BK Veggies are bad. Adding French fries just makes it worse.winking smiley Interestingly, the fries didn't taste good. I must be doing something right.

Well, I finally watched Alissa Cohen's "Living on Live Food" DVD, and it was unbelievable! There was so much information presented, and Alissa makes raw food look so easy. This really is mandatory watching for anyone interested in the lifestyle.

I've decided that on the first day of summer (June 22, I think) I will take the 30-day Raw Foods challenge and go 100% raw for a month. To prepare, I've decided that, although I feel the need to use up the other food in my house, I will buy no more cooked food, and also keep learning how to make new recipes. Tomorrow is guacamole smiling smiley
