Try wiping your dog with a vinegar and water solution after they've eaten.

Try to get your children to wash their hands often, just to be safe. They can learn to wash their hands after touching the animals, before they touch their eyes, mouth, or nose - where salmonella could enter

Although dogs and cats have a tendancy to lick every little bit off of their muzzle and entire bodies, to make sure they lick up every little bit of juice from the meat and to clean themselves.

I def wipe kyia's mouth off wit baby wipes or a wash cloth after eating, also her paws cause she holds the meat down with them.

Feed the pets outdoors, away from children, and keep kids, especially very young children away from them for at least an hour or two. You can wipe the pets down with alcohol (spareingly!) before allowing access to the kids. I spray my hands with a mist of rubbing alcohol after rinsing off post raw meat handling in general.
