My Shepherd is 13 months and has been on Raw meat for 1 Year.
I will mix ground beef, liver, turkey, Chicken, Pork, Veal, Eggs with shells.
The Mix:
5 lbs beef chop meat
2 lbs turkey (ground)
2 lbs Beef liver (cut into small pieces about size of a Quarter
2 lbs Pork, Veal, Beef (ground) The package for making meatballs
10 lbs chicken breast meat
doz. Eggs
2 squirts of Salmon Oil in every meal

I mix all and make diners and freeze for easy feeding.

My 85 lbs Shep will get almost 2 lbs of the above mix for diner.
In the morning I will give her a Oven Stuffer Roaster Drum Stick
And at night a meaty bone.

She has bad hips which I noticed when she was 3 months and this started me on a raw meat diet.

She is full of energy, Runs like a rabbit, but her hind is weak and can be pushed down with your hand. AM I DOING THE RIGHT THING.

Well nice variety there and that's awesome that you got on raw. You don't need to follow or make up recipes though. You can just hand her her drumstick as a meal and the 2nd meal just give her some boneless meat, organs and whatever supplements you use. Pretty easy.

Wait, how bad are her hips? Did she have Xrays done? If so, did you look into surgery for it? What you describe about pushing down on them sounds..bad. If you haven't already you should have an Orthopedic Specialist Vet check her out and they can do surgery so she doesn't get worse as she gets older. When the dog is around 1yrs old is actually the BEST time to do it.
