Hello

Is fruit juice OK to drink on the raw lifestyle especially as I am trying to get rid of acne? Wouldnt the amount of sugar in fruit juice be bad? I love fruit juice sad smiley

Unless it's the juice coming straight from a juicer, it's pasteurized and not raw (this means everything on the shelf at the stores). I also remember reading about unpasteurized juice (sold in a bottle) that could be labeled that way because the fruits were exposed to some kind of heat before the juicing process.

I'll have to admit, I broke a serious Master Cleanse with just regular grocery store (100% organic not from concentrate!) juice, my brain not making the connection between shelved juices and raw--just thought juice was juice. I also didn't know much about juicers, other than that "they made juice"--no idea of living nutrition, separation of fibers, etc. Fresh juice also oxidizes quickly, so it's important to drink it now and not later... that's also why it can't really be sold on the shelves in a functional way.

Not all juices are processed equally. =(

But let me tell you... nothing beats FRESH juice!

IT usually IS from concentrate, dont drink things from cartons

Fresh juice sure

Green juice, cucumber juice and green smoothies are good for healing skin complaints. As is juicing period. Not just fruits.

Get into the juicing forum for sure smiling smiley

The whole fruit is recommended...to help release the sugars more slowly into your system. Those that are just starting out may want to focus on the even more slower sugars present in whole vegetables....and dark-leafy greens.

-Every person is different. If YOU find the foods that work for you....and eat very simply (just those foods) for a period of time......or, as you say, fast on juice or water for a period of time....your condition should relieve itself.

-Utilize the other angels of: air (breathing), water (pure bathing, drinking & enemas) Light & fire (the sun, sunbaths, sungazing) and earth (walking in nature) to help free yourself of any problems.

I was just going to revisit that statement as well!

More and more I find myself escaping into the nature trails behind my apartment. It's great... =)
