Date: June 28, 2008 04:02PM This is a huge Sicilian market place. This is just one small part of it. My relatives couldn't understand why we wanted to hang out at a market. All fresh from the country!

Date: June 28, 2008 09:44PM It's all organic in Sicily! I bought a huge head of romaine for a US dollar. I mean it was immense. When I asked my cousin about chemicals he laughed and said "Who would want to put chemicals on food?" He grew his own almonds, apples, walnuts, plums, oranges, pears, and peaches. That's just the trees and not the regular garden. I was eating truly fresh and raw almonds from the tree. Re: One of our favorite places!

Date: June 29, 2008 11:49PM I was going to try and get my cousin to ship me almonds but it's so expensive to mail anything from Europe.
It would be a dream to live in Sicily. My partner said that she would go. I am going to try and buy a place there as soon as I can work up the currency. I figure we could at least have summers there. I joke with her about having a raw retreat in the countryside. We could have yoga and raw food. She does the yoga and I do a lot of really good raw prep. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
