Guatemala--tips?
Posted by: happyway ()

I'm going to Guatemala for 2 weeks, with some friends (not raw fooders) and am looking forward to tasting lots of new (to me) tropical fruits; and seeing a bit of the country. Anybody have any hints? or know of any places especially good for organic produce?
Thanx

I beleive Guatemala's fruits are similar to that of Mexico: papayas, bananas, mangoes, lemons, limes, watermelons, peaches, nectarines, plums, avocados, pineapples, and strawberries.
Nice and hot for growing the more exotic stuff. The papayas grow huge in Mexico and they are very sweet so perhaps it is the same in Guatemala.
