Date: October 14, 2008 03:15PM I eat less garlic as a raw foodie than I used to, but not because I don't like it anymore... it just tastes so much stronger if you don't cook it!
Most of my garlic goes into the blender for soups, sauces, and salad dressings. I do find that it has a notable effect on my mood and energy, but then a lot of foods do. I would be nauseous if I ate an entire meal of garlic, and I know that that's been proposed as a test for a truly appropriate food, but that's not a level of purity that I feel I'm ready for. Many of the ingredients I use would not pass this test, including lemon juice, nama shoyu, oils, dried seaweeds, and vinegar. I'm not ready to completely give up these things, though I can see why other are. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
