Guatemala--tips?

Date: June 22, 2006 12:57PM I'm going to Guatemala for 2 weeks, with some friends (not raw fooders) and am looking forward to tasting lots of new (to me) tropical fruits; and seeing a bit of the country. Anybody have any hints? or know of any places especially good for organic produce?

Date: June 22, 2006 02:44PM I beleive Guatemala's fruits are similar to that of Mexico: papayas, bananas, mangoes, lemons, limes, watermelons, peaches, nectarines, plums, avocados, pineapples, and strawberries.
Nice and hot for growing the more exotic stuff. The papayas grow huge in Mexico and they are very sweet so perhaps it is the same in Guatemala. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/22/2006 02:48PM by jadedshade. Re: Guatemala--tips?
