Date: July 23, 2006 02:36PM I would say hemp milk and hemp protein are much better than soy (soy milk is not raw.)
Check out the "Chocolate Pudding" recipe (with Hemp Milk) here: www.funkyraw.com/philosophy/recipes.php I have this everyday! Rob -- Rob Hull - Funky Raw My blog: [www.rawrob.com] Re: Smoothie Recipes HELP looking to go 100% RAW...

Date: July 24, 2006 01:33PM I would make almond milk (1 cup almonds, soaked then strained, then blended with 3-4 cups of water, then strained) would be a good choice to boost your protein intake.
My favorite green smoothie: juice of 4-6 oranges 1 pear 2-3 bananas 1/2-1 bunch of greens (kale, collards, spinach, parsley) Re: Smoothie Recipes HELP looking to go 100% RAW...

Date: August 01, 2006 06:20AM Yeah, I can NOT combine fruit and veggies in a smoothie - totally makes my tummy hurt.
Cantalope Smoothie Scoop out the seeds combine with 2 cups water and blend to make seed milk. Strain out the pulp and pour the seed milk back in the blender with the rest of the cantalope (not the skin of course) add a dash of cinnamon. Delish! You can do this same recipe with watermelon but I haven't tried it yet. Nutty Nanner Smoothie Blend some almonds with 2 cups water add a banana....YUM Jen Rose "You must first unlearn the lies, and then you will have room for the truth" Re: Smoothie Recipes HELP looking to go 100% RAW...

Date: August 01, 2006 08:55AM My favorite recipe is very simple:
2 fresh bananas 10 oz organic frozen strawberries I let the frozen strawberries sit out for about 10-15 minutes then I blend the bananas and strawberries. That's it :-) Here is a link to a number of recipes: [www.freedomyou.com] <>< Helen of Tennessee [www.shazzie.com] Re: Smoothie Recipes HELP looking to go 100% RAW...

Date: August 02, 2006 06:11PM Hi Bloom2....!
Welcome here...I've just registered too...! Smoothies are absolutely great and very interesting...you always make new discoveries for your tastebuds! Here'a a couple I made this week... 4 very ripe nectarines 1 banana (large) 1/5th of a lemon sliced (unwaxed) including the rind Blend for 1 min in a Philips or Moulinex blender on fast and enjoy. If you want an extra kick add 1 clove of garlic (I know, sounds real yucky but you'd hardly notice it with all that sweet stuff that went before) Smoothie No. 2 1 large banana 1 large glassful of mung, lentil, puy lentils sprouts (just a day or 2 old) 1 apple chopped or cucumber 1/5 of lemon sliced with rind 1 garlic clove Enjoy... If you include lemon and garlic in all of your smoothies you'll find that the taste of the other ingredients in the smoothie actually intensifies!! Also your tongue will feel really clean Star Re: Smoothie Recipes HELP looking to go 100% RAW...

Just been reading all the other posts here...Been doing smoothies and juice blends for 3 years now and here's my favourite discovery 1 large avocado 1 large banana Juice of 2/3 large carrots 2 apples 1/5 lemon slice + rind (haven't tried garlic with this one!!) 1 teaspoon of coconut oil (extra virgin variety) Blend on medium for 2 mins with a cheap blender or 30 secs with a professional one. This is very filling and makes a great breakfast...This is approx 2 8oz servings..The lemon prevents the mixture from turning brown and also gives it a sweet mayonnaise like taste...verrry interesting to the taste buds. If you take this before going to sleep...your complexion will be totally transformed the next day...guaranteed...I always take this when I want to make a really good impression and look 10 years younger... Lol!! Star Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
