I've been thinking about corn meal

Date: August 18, 2006 08:29PM I recently bought a bag of purple corn kernels from Natural Zing. I ground some of them in my coffee grinder, added salt, sunflower seeds, lime, etc and dehydrated them. I ended up with some pretty tasty blue corn chips. That led me to thinking about corn meal. I remember David Wolfe saying that heirloom seeds and nuts are not prone to aflatoxins as are hybridized seeds and nuts.
Why is it that none of our "raw food" companies sells raw corn meal from organic corn that's possibly heirloom? Anybody know? I have made corn chips from fresh corn, but I can't find any organic corn in my area - not even at the farmers' market. The best I can find is non-sprayed. It's still had chemical fertilizer and who knows whether its GMO or not. I could go to the store and buy frozen organic corn, but I'd rather not use frozen foods if I can avoid it. Anybody know of raw, organic corn meal? Sometimes - I just gotta have corn chips! Life Is Good! alive! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
