Date: September 11, 2006 01:49AM Brewer's yeast is designed to speed up the process of fermentation to make alcohol, Putting that in your gut is explosive and the alcohol and gas created are toxic for you. Nutritional yeast is for human consumption and has a cheesy flavor and makes a great cooked vegan cheese sauce. Neither are Raw. Indulge with awareness, use sparingly, and wean your self off of N yeast if your goal is a 100% Raw diet. Re: What about brewer's yeast?

I agree with funky beets on the dulse flakes too - not sure they'll cure your brewer's yeast craving but they def lend an excellent, mineral-rich heartiness to salads - soo satisfying. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/11/2006 04:22PM by sunshine79. Re: What about brewer's yeast?

Date: September 11, 2006 08:56PM As long as you don't eat too much, nutritional yeast can be a good food. 1 tablespoon or so a day is alright. Re: What about brewer's yeast?

Date: September 12, 2006 02:10AM I feed it to my cats for the B vitamins. Someone told me it helps deter the fleas. It has worked well so far and my cats are pretty much flea free now (it took a few weeks).
I don't care for it myself. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
