My new romance with papaya!
Posted by: Rawrrr! ()

I've found organic papayas and have been eating a few everyday. Because of all the enzymes in them, papain ect.. is it possible to eat too many, or should I indulge in my romance with papaya?

I would say that Papya is a good fruit that, when eaten fairly ripe, you should be able to eat about as much as you are comfortable with - with no ill...and many positive effects.

-Just my opinion.

Papain content is highest in the green ones.

Papaya is one of the most nutrient-dense fruits of all. If you ate nothing but papaya, you'd probably get full before you satisifed your sulfur amino acid, zinc, iron, and EFA needs. But you can make it work pretty well and sustain you for a long time if you eat as much papaya in a day as you can handle and add an ounce or two of brazil nuts, flax, and pepitas, each (provided you had a source for b12 and d which must be addressed separately).

But I like variety, I think it's more protective.
