Date: December 15, 2006 12:19AM I may be working as a laborer for a mason over my holiday break. What should I eat to be able to handle the conditions (cold, possibly snowy)? Re: Outdoor Labor

Date: December 15, 2006 05:19AM Do you have access to some good dates? Dates are in season right now and they tend to be somewhat warming. Generally, sugar really seems to help. I do a produce stand once a week and have to stand out in all weathers and last winter, which was pretty rough here, dates were definitely a big help. Standing still selling produce is tougher than doing labor and being more physically active, although it sounds like you're in a colder climate than I am. I just jump about as much as I can, and of course schlepping the boxes and putting the stand up and breaking it down takes some movement! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
