Seasonal Eating

I have noticed that I really go for fruit in a big way starting in the spring and eating a very high % fruit diet all summer long and then tapering off in the fall. Then as fall comes on I seem to go to more veggies and less high water content fruits like banana.
Has anyone else experienced a change in their body's desire for particular foods as the seasons change ?

Not as the Seasons change, but as the Emotional
State changes. That's why true Yogis are always on an even
'keel'. The Buddhists have a good term called the 'middle way'.
Let us all strive for that. But that might be boring eating the
same things all the time.
A friend of mine eats by 'availability', and does quite well with
it....WY

For sure.
The crisp fall days used to have me wanting hot soups,stews,biscuits,etc..
But now I just eat(or try to eat) the same raw fresh foods year round.

Last year at this time I craved nothing but fruit. This year, it's been mostly veggies and bananas, like you EZ. Carb-y, comforting things. Though the local melons have still proved tempting!

Yes, I definitely gravitate to denser stuff in the fall here in New England-- I go from having a lot of fruit juices and fruits and a little salad to starting to crave bananas and smoothies, and vegetable concoctions made with things like processed zucchini and avocado, red pepppers and tomatoes, etc.

I didn't want greens or veggies this summer - just mostly fruit. Now I'm starting to crave greens, veggie juices and root veggies. And I'm sure I'll be on a citrus kick in a month or so.
