My father just called me and wondered if cartilage, in knees, can be re-created by the body with Living Raw Food?

Anybody heard anything about this?

I have HEARD it can be done during a long fast, or on a Living-foods diet very high in ASSIMILABLE greens, but in any case the body would have to go through a lot of detoxification BEFORE the healing and repair would be undertaken. It won't just leap right in with the healing, in my view - it needs to work on getting toxins out of the liver, heart, lungs, kidneys, FIRST - it attends to the life-or-death stuff and then can attend to the peripheral or cosmetic things that often seem more important to us!

I'd think sulfur would be useful, amongst other minerals - any thoughts, anyone? Also, sufficient raw vegan protein, without which repair is unlikely to occur!

I agree with TheStockholmSyndrome, that the conscious mind cannot dictate the order of healing in the body, as the body and the unconscious mind have their own agenda of what needs to be healed first. Certainly the life and death stuff that Stockholm mentioned comes first.

That being said, with enough mediation on the injured part of the body, this can bring the body's focus onto healing the injury. In my own experience, I am able to focus my consciousness and move energy into various parts of my body. I use this in my yoga as I endeavor to let go of contractions in my hips or lower back.

As for your father's healing, he has the best chance of healing his body with a healthy raw food diet, as well as including all the habits that promote health: plenty of sleep and rest, exercise, freedom from stress, etc.
