Reminds me of the island where I camp every summer-- it's loaded with BUNNIES that look just like this one! Someone dropped off a couple of domesticated rabbits on the island many years back, and they just started multiplying.

Hi sunshine79--
It's in Massachusetts, one of the Boston Harbor Islands called Lovells. Jonathan and I camp out there, usually twice every summer (2 wk. July/2 wk. Aug) and we love the rabbits. Unfortunately, there aren't as many of them now as there were when we started camping in 1992. I think the park service has deliberately poisoned them in order to save the tree roots they eat, but that's another story. They are friendly, and will come into campsites and eat very near you if the vibe is right. However, they don't tend to like being petted. Sometimes rambunctious little kids will run after them and grab them in order to pet them; they've learned to be a little cautious as a result.

There's an area in Anaheim, about a half mile southwest of Disneyland that's full of bunnies. It's become the dumping ground for unwanted easter presents, I guess. It's weird, cuz you're walking through a normal neighborhood, and bam, hundreds of bunnies, right next door to a liquor store. I think I saw on the news that they're going to start poisoning them or something awful.
Thank you for posting that video, it made me all choked up!!!

Jgunn,

I love it. Us humans might do well to remember friends can come from the most unexpected places.
