No doubt many of you are aware that after September 1, 2007, almond processors will be required to pasteurize all almonds sold to the public. The exception is almonds that are purchased directly from farmers. During my last fruit gleaning trip to California I was able to negotiate a deal with an almond farmer who will sell me unpasteurized, certified organic almonds at a low price. I'm selling them for $7 per pound. Shipping costs will be actual so you can check out the cost yourself on the USPS postal rate site (my zip is 98007). I can also use flat rate packaging for orders up to approx. 10 pounds (haven't checked how many almonds will fit in the box yet), which is $9 for 2-3 day shipping. The almonds are not being sold on my website, you have to email me directly to order.
