Taking the Plunge

Date: September 25, 2007 04:20PM Okay everybody! Its very very soon until my grocery money is in the bank! I've started preparations for rawing up my pantries, I've gotten rid of everything from canned ministroni soups to ketchup flavoured rice cakes...O-o...Yeah...What couldn't be donated to a place I pitched, and now only have the food I'll need until money day. That should leave me with a blank slate with which to fill my cupboards.
I'm basically poor until Monday, which means the last few days will end up being a detox. But I'll be careful about it, and pinch stuff from the donation box to eat if I sseeeriously need to. So this is it, my life is changing. Why do I feel so anxious about it? *falls over* Re: Taking the Plunge

Date: September 25, 2007 04:28PM it's totally normal to be obsessed with your diet when you make a major change. it was all i thought or talked about for a while! but remember that this shifts, when it starts to become 'normal' or routine to eat this way it will stop filling your thoughts. think of it like learning a new language, you have to struggle to relate to the new words, the new way of thinking, but eventually you think the concept in the new language rather than making a cerebral translation as you go along.
take care, keep the pressure on yourself just right, not too much, not too little, and remember that every good thing you do is a good thing you've done. focus on the positives and it's a pleasant journey. good luck! Re: Taking the Plunge

Date: September 25, 2007 04:40PM It helps that I've been watching Shazzie and other raw foodies on YouTube. All the recipes they make look and sound delicious! :O I want to try them all out! I hate waiting, but I guess I must.
Thanks for the encouragement. I even started a blog today, I'm going to monitor my progress with raw/vegan food and see how far I get. [rawchocolate.livejournal.com] Hope to have a good journey, to the point where I'm not even thinking of it as 'alternative' food anymore, when its just in my mind gonna be 'food' and thats it.
