after a cold...

I was wondering how long you rest after you have been ill. Specifically, how long do you wait to begin exercising again? I think that sometimes when I exercise when I just begin getting sick, then I definitely will get very sick. I wonder if I exercise before I am completely well if it will delay a complete recovery. I seem to get a bad cold or flu every fall. I feel like my body is getting weak just lying around! Yuck.

In my experience.......if I still had/have energy after becoming ill.....then very light exercise has actually seemed to speed my recovery. If I'm completely out of energy.....then I will, of course, rest until I feel like exercising again. Usually no more than a week.
